Actually, if you read the fine print it says "select hp printers" (or close to that) if you check out the numbers listed, the 1115 is indeed one of them..

SLOW RAID 0 performance on KR7A

Huh... I added a 3rd drive to my KR7A raid array, switched to cable select as suggested, and my performance DROPPED from 28000 to 21500 in Sandra. Grrr. I will check out the other suggested forum...

Abit KR7A-RAID meets ECC memory

DDR PC2100 ? CL=2.5 ? Registered ? ECC ? 2.5V ? 32Meg x 72 Crucial. This is what I am using. It was a bi*ch to put in (a dozen or so tries per stick) but it works..

My Abit KR7A-RAID does not want to display a video signal. How can I fix this?

If it is emitting a constant beeping, and displaying no vid signal, it is probably the RAM issue. I had to seat each of my 2 sticks about a dozen times to get it up and running. I have populated every slot of my BH6 without having to reseat a stick more than once, as I recal, and also the...

kr7a slow raid

Mine shows up as SCSI too. I get high 20's for my 2 drive raid as well. These are 5400's. The benchmark sample for 7200's shows as low 40s, should a dual 5400 raid score be higher?

Yep, I have had the same problems. There definitely is an issue with seating the ram on these boards. It is much easier on my BH6. I don't know if ddr is any more difficult, but it does not seem it should be. Took me dozens of tries to get 1 stick working, I have not gotten the other in yet...

If the fans come on and there is a constant regular beeping (doesn't stop, even rythm, every 4-5 secs) this is the RAM. Keep trying to reseat it - it took me dozens of tries, literally. I had the tech-rep at abit listen to the beeping pattern and he said that was the code for the RAM not...

For what its worth, my 1040B just came in the door. No probs with EMS at all. Right on time, sent me order info etc. The only thing I don't like is the delay for tracking is longer than some other places. And AFAIK 130 *shipped* is perhaps the best deal you can get on the 1040

Suggestion on cheap black/silver case for newbie please

I agree with others about the Antec 10XX series. You can get the 300W version in black shipped from emscomputing for 96 bucks or so, which hits your target ok. The Fong Kai F320 that someone mentioned is on sale for $90 shipped, fedex saver right now at newegg, which is a pretty good deal too...

No problem, sorry it was not the right one - I agree about the choice, and for the same reason (2 year old) plus I like the black model, which I don't think the 830 comes in. As I mentioned, if you only want the 300W, ems is the best price (77 plus 19 shipping) I have seen. You could get it...

Where did you see it at Best Buy, in store or online? I looked on line and it looked like the 830 instead of the 1030 for the price you saw (or rather the rebate...) I hope I am wrong, been planning on getting a 10XX series. As of now, I am going to mailorder from EMS computing... Thanks
