5700 Ultra or 9600XT?

I agree with Sneaky Stuff, I have a 9700pro 9600pro and 5900xt and the xt is right in between my 9700pro and 9600pro in terms of performance... the image quality that most ATI(FREAKS) will talk about is not as noticable as the Frames Per Second. and That is one smoken price on that card i paid...

9700np There are many benchmarks and sites that will validate this. It is pretty much a no-brainer. after the 9700 go with the 9600pro. skip the 9800se.

I need quicktime pro help this time

You should change the output type from avi (ati recomended) to mpeg2, the avi format that ati uses is propriatary and will not allow you to edit it... there may be some conversion utilites or you may be able to convert it from inside mmc, I will check to see. I have never used quicktime to edit...

yeah and I would not put much faith into a review that was used with alpha software and hand carried to the reviewer by an NVIDIA employee to be tested than removed... If ID had brought the software I would be alittle more flexible with the review. I wonder if kyle would do that review now... :)

What cards support DX9?

Ok from what nvidia marketing tells us the all of the nv3x based cards support displacement mapping, however they are turned of in drivers. as far as 5200fx being crap that is true already games like Tomb Raider and auqamark2 are coming out with DX9 features. There may even be some new reviews...
