I was shopping at newegg first, before I came across the Dell deal.
I don't have any proof or tests to back it up, but the Dell switches are designed to be used in corporate networks, while the linksys switches are more for the homeowners. I would think that anything intended for corp use would...
I just bought one of these: link for around $155 with tax, shipped. Seems like a really good deal, considering they normally go for $179 plus shipping. I saw a thread on these a while back, but nothing recent.
Damn... looks like it's $225 now, which is $25 over my budget.
Can this be used as a portable hard drive? And if so, does it require drivers to show up as a removable drive?
From the page:
"...click on the Submit button to join Club Crest, and we'll send you a coupon for Crest SpinBrush."
It doesn't say anything about it being free, just that you get a coupon for it. It's probably a dollar off or something...
Here's another question... according to Dell's site it says "10/100BaseT Ports - None". Does that mean that these switches are GB only? As in, my 10/100 machines won't work on the ports?
So these are silent? I was looking at a linksys 8-port GB switch on newegg, but the comments said they were kinda loud, and I really don't need any more noise in my office.

$50 rebate info at http://www.tivo.com/2.6.asp
I couldn't find info on how long the warranty is on refurbed models, but it still looks to be a good deal to me.
I just picked mine up at the local Circuit City. It's running as my secondary monitor now (main is a 19" flat Trin CRT). A couple observations:
-I couldn't find out any more specs than what were listed on the website.
-The redraw rate is definately too slow for games. My iTunes visualizations...
CC.com was out of stock, but 2 stores in my area had the batteries in stock. I selected local pickup, and got em for the same price (plus tax) at a local store.
Just got this in an email... go here and register. Email the person running the site (Jean.Henault@verizon.net), and she'll give you five bucks off your order of $25 or more.
My idea of home improvement usually involves a shiny new PC case or something, but I figgered I'd pass it along... ;)...
There's nothing wrong with scanning the ad and posting it here, is there? If there is, please tell me and I'll take it down ASAP.
Anyways, here's a scan of the BestBuy ad:

To chime in:
The compatibility issues with Creative's cards are primarily on Athlon-based systems with a via chipset, especially the KT133. A lot of times just putting the card in a different PCI slot will clear up the issue.
As for the MX300, ever try to get one of those working under Win2K...
I just got a letter in the mail from Dell. go to www.dell.com/amexcorporate, fill out a survey, and receive 20% off Optiplex desktops or Latitude notebooks!
Disclaimers:
- I didn't fill out the form, so I don't know how many machines you can buy
- It may only be open to businesses, seeing as...
<< But yeah they are free, but I don't know what they would think of you bringing 50 of them home though . I couldn'g go through taking more than 2 or 3. >>
Heh... I grabbed a big ol' handful. At least 25. I went there today to ship something, and there's at least 200 more sitting there...
Hey all,
I was at Staples the other day, and there was a box full of floppies at the shipping counter with a "Free" sign on them. Instead of standard labels, all the floppies had "$5 free" stickers on them. I asked the lady behind the counter what was up, and she said that they get those...
For the record, the $10 cert can't be applied to this order, as they email it to you after the DVD is shipped. Still a good deal if you use the cert towards something else, tho.

I ordered a bunch of these when they were at $4 apiece from Directron. These mice have very short cords - Unless you're using them on a laptop, and that laptop's USB port is on the side your mouse hand is on, these aren't really worth it, unless you can...
12.5mm (if that is indee the correct height) is kinda tall. I think that most laptops nowadays are 9.5mm, but YMMV. Non-secure ordering? screw that. I'll pass.
Dimwit, you misread the description (as did I the first time) it says:
<< Powered by a rechargeable 6-volt battery (included) and 3 "D" alkaline batteries (not included) >>
The 6-volt battery is where the real juice comes from :-)
Hey Bonk102 - great quote... that's back when the BossToneS...
I went to Wal-mart last week, in search of those cheap TiVos that I saw on here. They didn't have any, but hidden in the corner was one Linksys wireless router, with no price. I scanned the price in, and it came to $199. Since my Wal-mart lowered its price, it wouldn't surprise me if others did...
I was at my local Wal-mart today, and saw that the Linksys wireless router with 4-port switch was just lowered to $99. All the routers were brand new in sealed boxes, and they had quite a few, which leads me to believe that this isn't just a regional deal. I didn't pick one up, cuz I wanted to...
