Found the problem. It was the kingston ValueRam. Put some Crucial in it, worked fine.

Don'tknow about the other cards, but the com store that I work in uses the GigaByte TNT2 board for most of the new systems we build and they work great. For an all around card that can do a little gaming, but can also play DVD's and really has a good picture, these cards are it. Works with all...

What CD burning software to use?

Check Roxio's site.....I have an AOpen 24X10X40 that Roxio does not support yet. If the burner is supported, try the 5.02b patch(it works great, but take two is not supported). If the burner is not supported, stick with Nero 5.5.5.1 and XP patches

How do I transfer data from one hdd to another?

Try to find a version of Norton Ghost. Set up your hard drives....one on chan1 and the other on chan2 tell ghost to copy one drive to the other you're done

HELP!! NEW MSI KT266a and Athlon XP 1600 Woes!!

Friend of mine had almost the same problem with his board. His just would not post at 133 at all. He returned the board after explaining what the problem was and the company (NewEgg.com) replaced it. He just had to pay for the shipping back to NewEgg.

Fan in Power-supploy of Enlight EN-7237AZ case doesn't spin

yeah, I had a similar problem once with that same enlight case. Check the screws in and around the fan on the PS. They run out of certain ones and just use whatever is closest (wrong size and length). Its worth checking out.

Power Short?

Yeah, HappyPuppy's right. if the board is shorting out it could also be on an oversized screw/standoff. Try using those little red insulators on both sides of the mobo (a dab of elmers works wonders). That might fix your problem.

WOW!!! Dust is a real temp killer!

Yet another "what case" question

I'd go with the Enlight mentioned above...It's toolless, but doesn't have a removeable m/b tray. I build about 3-5 systems a week for the store I work for and these are the cases we use... They are about $60 at NewEgg.com for the 340W version. The 3.5 bays are removeable as a whole unit and...

Burning Software

Actually, I prefer EZCD 5.02b Platinum, but you need to go to Roxio's web site and see if your burner is supported. I have an old 4X CDRW and EZCD works fine. The computer store I work in sells AOpen 20X and 24X drives and EZCD doesn't support them. For these drives NERO 5.5.5.1 works fine...

How do I set network user permissions in XP???

go to control panel...admin tools....computer management. Local users and groups must be set up for the user you want to use the shared folder.... Note that you must create a new user with the same name in XP users like 2000 did. That is the only way for someone else to access the drive.

HELP! I can't format drive C!

Try using format /s to make the C: drive a system disk.....or if that doesn't work, try using fdisk and seeing how much of the hard drive is being used for drive C. If you used the Win2000 startup disks, then fdisk might detect the disks as unknown file system instead of Fat32....this is...

WinXp keeps checking for disk consistency

What type of HDD drive do you have?? I had a Western Digital 20GB 7200 that did the same to me, but after I bought my new Seagate Barracuda IV 40GB 7200 and fresh loaded XP, I had no problems with disk consistency.
