I saw one of these at a local CompUSA (MD) and was impressed by its size and capabilities! It's really a palm (or two)-sized fully functional PC. Even my wife was impressed! I coulndn't justify a $500+ expenditure for it, but for anyone who wants/needs the smallest PC around (IMO) should be...
No, the 3870 does NOT have a 2" antenna sticking out of its side- must have been some hw for a vertical market? It has the same physical appearance as the 3835/3850. I got my 3835 from CompUSA by trading up my problematic 3635 w/ the 1 year technical warranty program. Yee haw!
First hot deals post...
IBM 1gb microdrive for $293 + $7 supersaver shipping = $300
Seems like a good deal- I paid more for my 340mb model several months ago. If you have a PocketPC device or a laptop, these little wonders can be lifesavers! You should see the jealous looks I get whenever I...
I got a deal with the camera and a few other goodies about five months ago- wanted to use the camera to monitor my baby when he was sleeping in his crib. The quality was too low, especially in low-light situations (like a darkened bedroom:( ). All the stuff still sits in a box in the office...
Thanks for the head's up- just called my wife (she's heading out to go shopping at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD) to check it out. Our 18mo old son is growing like a weed, so it may be a great opp to get some deals!
An FYI- Filmspeed.com has been down since at least Jan 1- another .com deadpool member??? BTW- To Kill A Mockingbird was not available at Filmspeed (love that movie and book)
For those who live in the greater DC area, I think the Baltimore, MD store is closer (timewise). Can't stand the traffic at the spaghetti junction of 495/95. Few weeks ago got several stainless steel shelves for my kitchen for about $9 each- these things are like $100+ at restaurant supply...
I'm a newbie, but amazingly I can id a scam too!
Check out these snippets from the BBB:

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints. Complaints...
Head's up- these things are miserable! Almost impossible to install w/out bubbles, and the texture tends to make the screen less readable. I've used them for my old Palm, Handspring, and iPAQ (always hoping they had improved) and basically wasted a lot of money. There are several others out...
This IS a great deal! I have an 804 (black 3100/3600/3700 iPAQ case) and LOVE it- I need to replace it with a 3800 case, but their current 3800 models are not that attractive. The finest leather, the finest quality construction, and wonderful customer service. Their prices are not cheap, but...
I don't consider it worthless at all- wireless surfing/email/vpn via iPAQ is a Godsend! The enhanced/bluekite version is ok, but I prefer using the standard connection with Karl's compression server:
Here are the steps
1: Open PIE
2: Tap Tools-Options
3: Go to the Connections Tab
4: Enable...
Used to have a 3635 and now have a 3835 (64mb RAM)- great for MP3s, I agree that one should use the WMA format (similar sound quality, at least through ear buds, and use up 1/2 the space of MP3s). Several great MP3 players out there (in addition to the built-in MS Media Player)- the 3835 also...
Does this card support ad hoc networking (peer-to-peer)? Most other 802.11b cards do- set up a card (perhaps a cheap PCI card) in your pc connected w/broadband, set up the other card in your other pc/PocketPC, then surf wirelessly without the added expense of a dedicated wireless router/access...
Got mine a few days ago- my wife thought I was nuts ordering them until she used one- now I'll have to find the d**n things at the local supermarket...
