What is it with Shakira's voice?

Whenever Wherever is crappiest sounding song ever. However, download Suerte (spanish version of it), and you will see what a great voice she actually has. It sounds so much better in spanish, nearly a completely different sound. And yes... she is a goddess.

Winamp 3 Beta 3: It REALLY kicks the llamas a$$

I notice you use codewarrior. Good program :) Oh yeah, winamp... I don't care for winamp 3. I doubt this new beta is a whole lot different from the last one.

Weird tasting fountain soda

no, that just happens when it runs low on syrup or carbonated water. Dump it out, tell them it tastes weird, and they'll change it. However it wouldn't surprise me if some places never checked it... but no where I've ever been to. :P

Does anyone still play Magic the Gathering card game?

I just sold all my old card on ebay for. Mostly 4th edition, chronicles, ice age, alliances... no moxes or anything really good, and got 225. I love my new XP 1700 / Radeon 7500 :)

No I can get it Jerboy, it's just that I don't have a job right now... been looking but no one wants to hire a person without experience. My mom won't get DSL because we have 3 year contract with MSN dial up. I wonder if we can upgrade... :D

I really really hate my dial-up!

I'm using MSN dialup right now and it loads the forums plenty fast. Although yes, dialup sucks compared to broadband overall, for ATOT specifically it's nothing to complain about. I wish I even had DSL....

Plextor 16/10/40A or Lite-On 24x10x40???

My Lite-On is great, and I don't know what you mean by "flimsy". Mine isn't anywhere close to being flimsy. Anyways, yeah, I'd keep the faster lite-on. If it were a 24x plextor and 24x lite-on, I'd so go with Plex. If you were buying them new I'd say go for lite-on... see where this is going?

Need help with crazy w2k problem

OK the restarting has seemingly gona away but now I have another problem. I have this invisible line going down the right side of my screen. it's about as big as the scrollbar. Everything that is within the line is stretched to either side, and is really weird. My time looks like "10:34 AN--I"...

Yes the boot up is what I meant, I didn't mean like "C:\" dos, but the non-windows boot up it goes through. No I'm not overclocking anything, I just finished this system and haven't even tweaked anything, it's all default except my FSB which is 133 now.

Need help with crazy w2k problem

I'm, obviously, having a problem with W2K. Stuff loads through dos fine, loads up windows, then at the user login screen it restarts. This keeps happening until it decides to completely boot. Somtimes it loads on the first run, sometimes on the 5th. Also, I tried to reinstall some new ATi...

Wrong CPU or Not detecting??

OK I fixed it. The FSb was of course at 100, and is now at 133. The thing is, my motherboard has jumpers that control the cpu fsb. I looked in the bios at first, but there was only ram speed. This being my first computer to build, I was a little confused. Thanks guys.

W2k problem; auto-restart at login!!

My RAM works fine. It will work after the 1st restart, and I've run several games and such, so RAM shouldn't be the problem. Is this a problem that the W2K repair program could fix??

Wrong CPU or Not detecting??

I recently ordered a cpu (an XP 1700), but when I boot it says it's a K7 1.1. I've also used 2 diagnostic tools and it still says 1.1. Did I get ripped off or is there a setting somewhere in the BIOS or otherwise that Ican change??

Minor Radeon chipset troubles on Diablo 2, need solutions for acceptable framerates

Someone has to have an answer... I have the same problem, I only run at 25fps with a system that should be getting like 70. Also, between each screen (opeing screen, menu, loading screen, etc.) it blinks a lot and is really ackward.

Why does Anandtech load faster on my dial-up, then on my Schools T-1 connection, or my girlfriends cable connection?

School - probably has some sort of protection on it (full control, etc), browsers are probably using filters, there are 500 other people using the same network as you. Girlfriends - maybe she has a bad connection as it is (far from where connection originates, etc.), and are on at peak times...
