Boomboxes that play MP3s are still pretty rare, and I've never seen one at this price. On sale for $50, regularly $70 I think the sign said. It's Koss, not a premium brand, but for 50 bucks might be worth a shot. It's pretty small, didn't have wattage listed. No tape player, and has a manual...

Cool $15 TINY speaker system to go with $60 RIO Cd-Player from Amazon

mbriody has got the right product in his link. Like I said, it was the design and compact shape of the product that caught my eye (I got them at Target B&M), and for 15 bucks the sound was impressive. I'd never seen decent cheapo speakers that could fit in a CD player case.

Are you sure about the price on those speakers? What makes you say they're $39.99? Just curious. I go to the same Microcenter and was looking at those speakers (which are awesome) and didn't see anything about them being on sale. I know they're not in the ad. Maybe it's just the satellites...

I've had Verizon DSl for over a year near Philly and overrall it's been great. It's never really "down," once in a great while, and then only for a short time (less than half an hour). And those times may even be because of my router. I knwo I pay $40 bucks for their entry level home DSL, but...

I don't have a dedicated line just for TIVO and have had no problems in the year I've had it. I believe it just dials in late night to update the listings. I've never even noticed it dialing.

The original poster misread the advertisement. My dad was all excited, too, when he showed me that ad. The prices listed in the original post are just the dollar off coupon amounts, not the selling price. Microcenter still has alot of good deals this month, though. I got 50 feet of RJ5 cable...

Went to the Lewis fight in vegas a few weeks ago. Damn, a fight's the place to be to meet celebs. We actually met Tom Arnold, Penny Marshall, Reggie Jackson, Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Tone Loc, and JaRule. The celebs all come in the same entrance as the "regular" folk. None had bodyguards...
