I've given up trying to get my old WRT54GS to work (fully) with my Synology DS212j. Not enough ports available, verified by Synology and at Portforward.com.
So, the E4200 looks to be a compatible (w/Synology) router. But there are two revs available, v1 and v2. I know the spec differences...
I don't understand passing on the DZ77GAL-70K Intel mobo for $140. That's a very good price for that board ... currently it's $205 + $7.50 shipping at Newegg, and $229.99 at Microcenter. ???
Not to be a party pooper, but don't forget sales tax if you buy at Microcenter ... that's probably at least $15-20 depending on your store's locale. Then add the cost for your friend to ship the parts to you. Finally, add $15-20 shipping from Newegg for the parts listed. Nearly $50 needs to...
Thanks for the suggestions so far, but no go.
This new system is in the case that the E6600 system was in, so the switch is definitely OK. Although I can't believe I forgot to check it ... well, I guess I just checked it the hard way.
Also, good on any ground issue. The bare necessities of...

You can order most things on-line too, except their CPU specials are always in-store only. Usually worth the drive though (if within reason ...). I got a 3770K for $206.99 !
My guess is Newegg is probably calling to...
You're missing the very important point being made about processor & graphics card pairings.
To wit, for your gaming, a system with an i5 and a lesser GPU like the 7770 is not going to be better than a system with an i3 and a more powerful 7850.
And don't get hung up on the OEM name. In the past, Fortron has made good PSUs, and so has FSP (Sparkle). It depends more on the particular model, so even more reason to read the reviews. Seasonic, FSP, etc., have all made clunkers too ...
Thanks for the reinforcing comments everyone. I figured all would be OK. Only downside I could find is my rev. only has the 6 pin PCIe.
Also, thanks for that link lehtv - I was trying to find some specs on the unit, Corsair had removed all their info. 83% efficiency isn't bad for a PSU as...
Unexpectedly had to replace old (not so reliable) E6600 system and went with a new 3770 system. I'm trying to save a few $ and decided to carry over the PSU, which is :

System is 3770K, Asus P8Z77-V Pro, 212 EVO cooler, (1)SSD + (1)...
Sorry, shoulda been a little more specific.
System is just up and running for a few hours now, haven't really taxed it yet. It's in a 65 deg F room though, so I thought the idle temp seemed high for that. But more than anything I'm just looking at this from a preventative standpoint - ie...
I'd definitely go with the alternate 1.35V Samsung DRAM that mfenn suggests. 8GB is more than enough, unless you're going 64-bit Windows ? 2 modules is also the right move.
Also, I'd go with an SSD for the OS and important software programs + a conventional HD for the rest. Others have...
I think you can just R-click on the item, select Update Driver, and "point" the driver install routine to the location of your SCSI adapter's file (ie. the .INF) using the Browse option.
As the title says, I'm in need of a HSF suggestion for a new i7-3770K build. I've been out of the DIY loop for a coupla years, so I'm not up on the latest and greatest.

Can verify the 3770K is no longer eligible for the $40 combo deal, but it is definitely only $229.99. However, that is an in-store only price. Ditto for the 3570K at $169.99, in-store only.
But they have some other good deals right now too. I also picked up an Asus P8Z77-V Pro for $199.99...
Even including sales tax and gas costs (@50 mi. each way), I still saved more than $130 on an order of CPU+mobo+RAM+drives at Microcenter. I couldn't believe Newegg was that much more expensive, I double and triple checked the prices, but it was true.
3770K CPU - $90 cheaper

My old E6600 system bit the dust two days ago, putting me in to BF computer-buying mode. Fortunately (?) the new Microcenter flyer came in the mail today.
Here's what I bought tonight ...

First off, bear with me as I am a newbie to the PS3, it's my first-ever console (Thank you Sony Rewards ...)
Anyways, I have the PS3 320GBer with Move bundle, and am trying to set it up in my home theater/area. As I have all my gear in two racks in a location separate from the TV...
Pio makes a sweet speaker system that matches up with Kuros. Last month they were clearancing them through the company store. If your Kuro is registered, you shoulda gotten the same email I did (about this system).

Surely you jest ? His overall/combined skill set is easily the best of any MMA fighter out there, yet he could cruise just on his Muay Thai mastery alone. Irvin wasn't a total slouch and he got killed in a minute. NASTY cut, he'll have a "reminder" for life ...
