I did say a WORKING beta. 6.0.13.183 dosnt work in 64 bit os's, its very broken. Older beta's worked better.

XP Pro x64 compatible firewall?

i know this is an old thread, but i just started using bitdefender 9 prefesional plus, it has antivirus and firewall in one package, and im as happy with it if not happier then i was with zone alarm. Ill be even happier when Kaspersky gets a working beta if KIS 2006 out.

Computer shuts off after I boot it

Check your case and any loose wire to make sure somthing isnt grounded out. Unplug your optical drives and any hard drives other then your boot drive, and try booting. If it boots and stays powered with them disconected it may be an underpowered power supply. Otherwise start removing...

Is it worth getting an A+ Certificate?

A+ is an outdated certification. The last time i reviewed the test for A+ it involved so much legacy BS that i havent seen in a real enviroment in ages. Its a waste in my opinion, but some employers still hold stock in it.... it goes either way and depends on what you wanna do.

PDP Low Latency PC3200 memory...ok?

after looking at pdp's web page i dont see any of their enhance latency or low latency memory being tested to run at 2.5, everthing i can find indicated all tests ar at 2.6v I have 3 sticks of this and all were individualy purched 2 are rev 1.0 and 1 is 1.1 they overclock and preform...

Does anyone have a problem with the ChainTech VNF3-250 using two 512MB Kingston HyperX PC4000 RAM Sticks?

This board is funny, ive found that when using double sided sticks i am forced to clear cmos to get more then one stick to boot after instalation. This occures with the 3 diffrent common bios versions for this board. I have been able to use 3 double sides sticks with the following oddities...

PDP Low Latency PC3200 memory...ok?

i can run 2x512 sticks of this mem at 2-3-2-5 1t at 210 im curently doing 233@ 2.5-3-3-8 2t 2.7volts Ive found this memmory, or atleast my sticks, arnt good past 233 mhz. I havent really goto into major tweeking, but anything over 233 with even minor tweeking causes instant blue screen.

Anybody have experience with PDP Systems memory?

im running two sticks of that memmory now. Its fairly new, but so far im stable @210 2-3-2-5 1t 2.6v on an nf3 board. Ive only seen one review on this memmory it has unknown chips stamped Liberty. But the value of this stuff is undeniable. EDIT: just started messing around and this stuff...

Is your processor overclocked? In all my expirence, the most common cause of being thrown back to the desktop without an error, is genneraly one of two things. Either an unstable overclock. Or a lack of voltage to the cpu causing instability (often the reason for the unstable overclock)...

Quick question about AMD Retail Box XP2600+

my barton 2600+ (333 fsb) runs stock at 1900 mhz 166x11.5 and yes the hs comes with the thermal pad. If your going to overclock your luck might be diffrent, but mine is stable at 200x10.5 2100mhz regardless of vcore its not stable any higher with stock cooling.

Jumped to SCSI, !!OUCH!!

I run SCSI over IDE for a few simple reasons. First access times are better and it does make a diffrence. Second you can have more drives on a SCSI chain and they dont have to use the channel 1 device at a time like ide does. Third burning from a SCSI HD to a SCSI burner is so very smooth...
