Care to explain? I don't pretend to know more than I do about this situation and I guess it's an undue hardship on all of you to walk me through this. I guess the only other thing I can ask for is instead of pointing me to offers and deals by these different hosting services, what's the best...
Again, sorry for the late response...
Our webmaster is vehemently opposed to a Virtrual Private Server solution.
More about what he's looking for in an e-mail hosting service, specifically:
1. Dedicated box
2. Unix based --> Linux
- Red Hat
- SuSe
- BSD - GNU licensing (?)
3. Other...
Please feel free to help me out...
I've been delegated the task of finding a new web hosting service for a non-profit organization. We're currently with Verio (http://www.verio.net/) and would like to move to a provider that can give us a dedicated box (one for site, one for e-mail)...
Checked out the CompUSA in Roseville, MN, and the Best Buys in Roseville and at Northtown and all were 18034X... serial numbers. I'll try back this weekend or try up in Anoka once I receive my 10% off coupon. :)
I've got the Sony DRX-500UL with firmware 2.0F (allows for 4X DVD-/+R burning) and have burned 20+ of these FMI DVD-R discs at 2X without any problems, either related to the burning process, or related to playback in my Sony DVP-NS315 DVD player or in my Apple PowerBook G3 DVD-ROM drive.
I work at CompUSA and even I wouldn't touch a Kogi monitor with a 10 foot pole. Those things are junk. If anything, see if the store carries CTL monitors. My store special-orders them for our in-store build-to-order systems and these things rock.
I heard CompUSA is having a huge 'Dead Week Ad' next week. The actual advertisement was e-mailed out to 30,000,000 people, but I didn't receive it. Savings of 10-50% INSTANTLY on a lot of stuff (not crap). Sorry for not having the details, but has anyone received it or know much more about...
Actually I believe the deal is on the original Kodak Easy Share Dock. The one that currently retails for $79.97 is the Easy Share Dock II. This deal is almost guaranteed to be B&M since the original dock has been discontinued in CompUSA stores for a while now.
Why is no one able to get in on the $20 GC deal when it is cleary stated on their website? I'm confused... Just cause it was in last week's ad and not this week's doesn't mean it's over, right? It's on their website!
System specs:
- Compaq Deskpro EN Series 6500 (I believe)
- Pentium III @ 500 MHz
- 320 MB SDRAM
- 80 GB Western Digital Special Edition hard drive (primary IDE - master)
- 8X Compaq CD-ROM drive (primary IDE - slave)
- 16x10x40X QPS, Inc. CD-RW drive (secondary IDE - master)
- ATI All-in-Wonder...
Whenever I start up Photoshop v7.0, I get an error message stating that my C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Workflow\ARM.dll file is not a valid Windows image file. File Properties shows that the current file is 0 bytes. Can someone please e-mail me this file from their computer (equipped...
*Trying it again...*
Hey all,
I've isolated the problem on my computer down to my Maxtor ATA/133 controller card. I have the Maxtor 80 GB (7200 RPM, ATA/133) drive and a Western Digital 60 GB (5400 RPM, ATA/100) running off the card. Both are on separate IDE channels (one is on primary, one on...
The jumpers for both drives are configured appropriately. The weird thing is that even if no drives are connected to the card, it still effects the boot time, jumping it up by around 2 minutes. WITH NO DRIVES CONNECTED! Hmm... Something's not right there.

Try again lil' buddy. I work at CompUSA in Roseville and we have like 10 left in stock. They're going for $299 right now.
By the way, the price will be jumping back up to $499 on March 21st. According to CompUSA.com, the $200 price break ($499...

No, but a worthwhile opinion would be gratefully appreciated.
<< It's good if people practice the correct teaching and do not use whatever that's in the Quran to brain wash those who are not into them. >>
It's not the words of the Qur'an that are brainwashing people... It's the misinterpretation and propoganda crap that the crazies put out to justify...
No, sorry about the delayed text... I accidentally pressed "Enter" before I entered the body text.
I don't mean to start a discussion (I don't have the time for it)... I just posted it for those who'd like to see the good side (which is truly the only side) of the religion.
Especially with the recent "outbreak" in the Hot Deals forum, there has been a lot of confusion and questioning recently about the nature of Islam. What is this seemingly mysterious religion? What is it all about?
Visit http://members.rogers.com/malikelshabazz/ to see an informative (yet good!)...
<< Lastly, because I am sure some of you will bring this up-the episode of the "Sharon massacre " in 1982. This is one of the most distorted lies and propoganda I have ever seen. these are the real facts and I quote them word for word from the editor of Arutz-7:
He was Defense Minister of Israel...

Make sure you've installed 4-in-1 drivers and grab the latest drivers from www.ati.com. >>
Are you referring to the 4-in-1 drivers on the ASUS CD?
My system:
-AMD Athlon XP 1700+
-ASUS A7V266 motherboard
-ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV
-512MB DDR SDRAM
-WinXP Pro
My 3DMark2001 benchmark:
-6567 3D marks
Why's it so low?
*EDIT*
I'm running the drivers that came with the card. The only updated drivers ATI shows are beta versions.
I finally pinpointed the source of my MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS BSODs... It's the infrared remote received that came with my ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV graphics card. I would get the BSOD when I would try to put the computer into Stand By mode. But, on my system, it's 100% verified...
Well, I was getting BSODs when trying to put the computer into Stand By mode and I switched the cards around so that the ATA/133 controller card is now in slot 1. The only problem I'm having now is the SLOW AS HELL bootup times. It's at the Windows XP Professional screen (with the moving bar)...
