So when is HDTV a must?

HD is a must once you've watched it one time. You just can't go back to SD. Seen ANY sport in HD? No SD version of that game will ever be watchable again! Watch Lost/24/Rome/Dexter/Heroes/<insert nbc/abc/fox/cbs serial here> in HD? You will not even turn your head to look at the SD...

What are some good headphones for my IPOD?

I've had the Sennheiser CX 300's for about 6 months now... The Good - fit pretty well (3 different size earpieces) *although my wife who has small ears doesn't like even the small size - sound about 1000 times better than stock iPod headphones - Lots of bass and crisp highs too - nice...

Thanks Wood, I'll check that out. I thought about the USB fans too... but then I noticed how hot my PVR has been getting in the summer months so I figured I might as well try to cool the whole cabinet. I guess with a little hub I could theoretically run some extra fans, I'll have to look...

Wow... it's really hard to find Buffalo routers in Canada. FrontierPC.com is the only site I've found so far... Any suggestions on a Canadian retailer?

I'm getting an XBOX 360 in the next week or so and I want to get a wireless router for it. Initially the 360 will be the only thing using wireless but potentially in the next year or so I'll have a PC or two on it as well. I don't do any heavy network traffic and I'm not planning anything...

Audigy to X-Fi. New surround too. Will I notice a difference?

650i vs. P965 based motherboards. What would you get?

Not to derail this thread... but do people actually use onboard audio on their higher-end overclocked gaming rigs? I'm genuinely interested to know if that's now viable (it's been 3+ years since I built a system and back then it really wasn't an option without noticable performance hits.)...

Is my AIW x800 XT being bottlenecked by my CPU?

Your CPU is a pretty decent bottleneck for that card. Not horrible, but that card can push a lot more FPS if you throw some more CPU at it. I don't have any experience with AIW vs non-AIW but I have and x800xl that performs better than your XT. I have a P4 2.8 which I usually run at 3.0 or...

Is there a 22 Inch LCD Widescreen with HDCP?

Which 22" for Xbox 360?

Anyone played an xbox 360 on a Samsung 225wb? When I set my 225wb to the 720p resolution in Windows or in other games it looks really terrible. I'm getting a 360 in the next couple weeks and I'm planning on hooking it up to my 225wb with the VGA port. Should I be expecting a different image...

How does the RIAA track what you share/download?

Yep... they just track all the IP's sharing a torrent and then ask the ISP for information about the household that was assigned that IP at that specific time. In Canada the ISPs were telling the RIAA to take a hike but I'm not sure if that policy is changing. I'm guessing in the US the ISP's...

Dual Boxing: WoW

I dual boxed a 60 priest and 60 warrior a lot. You can really do some serious farming with that combo and it's pretty low maintenance. About all you have to do is hit renew every once in a while and bust out the larger heals on harder mobs. I generally just had 4 simple macros I used...

can a x800 run wow at 1600x1200

ATI HD resolution support for 1080i

Oh yeah just remembered something... there is a 1080 HD Preset resolution available at 60hz, but it's labeled as 1080p which is why I made the above comments. You know when you walk into somone's home/office and they have their CRT at 60Hz and it hurts you to even look in its general...

I have the same problem with my 42 inch Sony, 720p custom (1184 x 656 @ 60Hz) looks amazing and the 1080i (30hz) tooks terrible. Is 60hz tied to the "p" for Progressive Scan? Could it be that "i" for Interlaced is limited to 30hz and we won't be able to get 60hz at a 1080 resolution unless...

OCing x800xl

Forget about OC'ing... my ATI X800 XL gets up to around 80 degrees at STOCK (and I have tons of airflow). I think it's really heating up my case temp too so I've been considering throwing a Silencer on it and pushing some of that heat out the back.

Abit IC7-G NB fan dying AGAIN!

I also looked into getting Abit-USA.com to ship me a new stock cooler but they don't accept payment from Canadian Paypal accounts... and there doesn't seem to be another way to buy the silly thing from the site... ARGH! Anyone know someone else that will sell the stock IC7 NB heatsinks?
