GeForce 6800 Overclocking using "Detect Optimal"

I've done the "Detect Optimal Frequency" a number of times on my PNY Geforce 6800. The Resulting frequencies ALWAYS follow this equation exactly: Memory Speed = GPU Speed x 2 + 50. I am using the 66.93 drivers. Do others get the same results? Here are the test results I've gotten so far...

nForce 2

I would like Anand to fly around the world backwards until the rotation of the earth reverses. Time will then go backwards for three months. Then post the nForce2 review in July 2002 on the same day as the 'paper launch.' Then this post will dissapear because I will have already read the review.

Anyone tried Age of Conquerors with nForce 1.13 drivers?

I get crackling in the sound. Some crackle in other software also, but mostly just fine.

nForce 2 release date?

Its been 4 weeks now. It is starting to look like a repeat of the original nForce release. It was announced in June, and I couldn't get one until November. I havn't heard a peep about the nForce2 since everyone was dupped into giving it all the free publicity when it was 'announced.'

nVidia announces Athlon XP with 333 fsb

Here is a picture of the slide from the presentation. [edit. ok, I'm a noob and can't fix my own link. Thanks for fixing it below.] Just fast forward the presentation to about 27:30 and listen from there for a couple minutes. Thats where they announce the product.

nVidia announces Athlon XP with 333 fsb

The nVidia representative said, and this is right in front of the new AMD President that spoke before him, that there would be a new product announced shortly that would use the nForce2's 333mhz CPU FSB. The video gives a few other pieces of neat information, but this was the juiciest. Craig

Tasty nForce2 information w/many pics

One of the articles said the nForce2's FSB and memory bus ran asyncronously. If we are able to bump the fsb for an unlocked Athlon to 200Mhz (400DDR), the Athlon would be able to use about 3.1GB of that bandwidth. If the nForce2 can get high fsb overclocks, it will own.

Prob wiv sound + nForce MSI mobo

Many people with the same problem have fixed this with a BIOS update. The most current is 2.4.

new XP 1800+ with nForce temp question

I have a similar set up. MSI nForce with an Athlon 1900+ in a SX600 series case. I am using an Alpha PAL8045 with an 80mm Panaflow L1a running at 7v. My CPU gets to 60C under load. It used to get to 63C before I installed the blow hole. Craig

New NV4Max and infinite loop issues

It works for me. I've tested on a Geforce2MX and a Geforce3. With 23.11, 27.40 and 27.70 drivers. It fixed the problem with all combinations.

Faster nVIDIA nForces coming

Nforce question

You must use 2 sticks of the same size to get 128-bit. 1 stick gets you 64 bits. Go for it anyway, there isn't THAT much difference, and you can add another 512 stick when the price drops. I am using WinXP Pro, and its a very stable motherboard. Craig

Alpha PAL8045 + Panaflo L1A 80mm fan @ 24CFM on an Athlon 1700+ XP = overclockable?

I run my Athlon 1900+ (1600Mhz) using an Alpha 8045 with an Panaflow L1A. I even run the L1A at 7v because I am a noise freak. Never had a problem. The 8045 just rocks. I get up to 145 when running at 7v and about 125 when running at 12v under full load. Idle is about 125 at 7v and 115 at 12v.

I have a Seagate Baracuda IV 40gig and 80gig attached to my nForce. Here are the HDTach 2.61 stats for the 80gig: Random Access Time: 13.4 ms Read Burst Speed: 63.1 mbps Read Speed: 44132 max / 23005 min / 36606 ave CPU Utilization: 21.8%

nVidia nForce vs VIA KT266

I personally was never able to get my VIA system stable. I had all sorts of trouble with hard drive corruption. I just never had the ability to figure out how to make my 133a stable. With the nForce, I have had no trouble since I installed the nVidia reference drivers. I am using WinXP. Craig

Should I go nForce or stick with my KT266a?

nForce at 1152x864 - possible?

I am running my desktop at 1152x864 using my nForce under Windows XP as I type this. I had to use PowerStrip to get it. I don't know if its a Driver/Windows issue, but with power strip everything works great.
