Quick question on the Brita filter

There is nothing wrong with ingesting charcoal, especially in those small of a quantites. As long as it isn't thick with the flecks (meaning it is water with flecks not flecks with water) it shouldn't be a problem. You still might want to get a new filter though.

Ok, I just re-read some of these posts and realized I didn't answer all the questions, even for myself. On further review the 3.3 V and 5 V rails max at 180 W. After doing some checking on MSI's VGA forums they also recommend at least 28 A on the 3.3 V rail so it looks like my power supply...

Checked under device properties and it is identified correctly but since I'm running a Soyo Dragon Plus it is only 4x AGP. I'll try to get a picture up here in about 20 or 30 minutes.

According to Newegg it isn't supposed to be a refurb. On this link it is the $122 card. I found that one you found on the MSI page too. I don't think the heatsink was that large actually. I'll have to check it out when I get back to my apartment.

Ok, I ordered this card from Newegg and got it from Fedex yesterday. When I opened it up it doesn't look like the product picture though. There are no heatsinks on the ram and the heatsink fan on the gpu looks a lot like the one I have on my northbridge. It is in my computer right now, works...

In response to the question about the modem, it is a Tut Systems LongRun modem. It is a model LR2000T. I bought a Linksys LNE100TX ver 5.1 nic tonight and installed it. It seems to have helped some but it hasn't completely cleared up the problem. I'd still appreciate any ideas anyone has.
