Another thing with listening to speakers at best buy. I walked by the speaker isle and the 560s were on. They sounded awful. I checked the settings and the bass was turned all the way to right and the fader all the way to the left. I reversed that and they sounded fine.
Regarding setup on the Audigy, I don't know. I have a Hercules Gametheater XP. It has a breakout box kind of link the platinum series of the live/audigy. It has a number of options. I currently have mine setup on my computer with the analog outputs. It has separate outputs for r/l front...
I have a pair of z560s. They sound quite good. You can adjust the bass response via the sound control in windows. A reasonable balance can be achieved without much effort. My first set did break. I lost one of the channels. Logitech initially insisted that I cut my power cord and send them...
I was thinking more along the lines of ripping the DVD oneself. However, I suppose downloading would be just as effective. I really think that with the mobile cele that 70 minute time will not be an issue.
The $300 rebate worked fine on the Compaq for me.

I've been following the phatwallet thread. I'm not registered there, however, someone brought up the issue of poor battery life (70 minutes for a DVD) on the 1500t. I actually ran across the article from which that number was quoted. The config they were using was with the desktop p4...
RossMAn,
I got the 1500t because it had the Radeon Mobility and the option for the sweet screen. I hate those S3 cheapsets. I went to bestbuy and looked at the Hewlett-Packard. I almost did that deal, but felt that the 1500 was the better value. I figure my wife will get more longevity out...
I got the 1500t. Don't forget that you can apply the Staples $100 mail-in as well as the Compaq $100 mail-in. They didn't waive shipping for me at the store, otherwise the deal for the 1500t would be $847.
I ordered the visiontek ti4200 128 meg from buy.com. It appears to have a blue orb like heatsink on it. That could be good for overclocking. In any case the total price comes to $168 shipped. They were running a free shipping deal on orders over $100, a %10 discount for using a discover...
Mine has shipped as well (ordered 12/28). Dell has very interesting customer service. I told them to change the shipping address on the order. They confirmed my request and claimed they subtracted the tax from my order (as the address had shifted from a taxable area to a nontaxable area)...
I called Logitech after having my ship date moved from January 4 to the 25th. They claim that they should have no problem meeting Dell's demand. I'm going to stick with the deal in the hopes that I actually get the product.
