Resistor Trouble

Thanks for all the replies. The resistor chart I was using didn't have a choice for silver on the third band, so I mistakenly thought it was gray. The bands are brown black silver and gold. I'll go back to the parts store tomorrow and get the .1 Ohm resistors I need.

What color?

On my boss's old eMachine we painted the exterior flat black and the interior was primered white, then covered with Glow in the Dark spraypaint. It reacts well with the two ccfl tubes. inside

What is the point of modding your case aesthetically?

I added a window to showcase the amount of effort I spent on cable management. My tower is located on top of my desk. It's confusing to see things like this. Why take the time to mount a window when the wires look like spaghetti and the case is going to be hidden in the desk cabinet, probably...

Full size ATX PSU in microATX case

I bought this Enlight case and mounted a full sized ATX PSU. Fit perfectly with a Lite-On CDRW/DVD combo drive. A standard length CD-ROM drive would have stuck out. I believe MSI also makes compact optical drives. Good luck.

Fred Meyer - TDK 15pk spindle DVD+R's $15.99

Just got some. They are 4x 4.7GB 120min. My store had about twenty spindles left. I should have looked at the shelf tag to see how long the price is good for. They also had 25 pack DVD-R's at 2x for the same $15.99 price. Thanks for the heads up.

Cutting a hole in side of case and how to deal with the grill...

I chose to modify the stock Intel cooler with a green cold cathode: P4 CCFL I bought one of these when they were on sale for $5 and took it apart. Fairly easy to do- a little harder than mounting a regular cathode, but easier than painting a case.
