How much for Engagement Ring?

About $4000, picked out the stone and setting. The engagement was a surprise. She then couldn't find a matching band, so she picked out a set and they put the stone in the new band. Came to around $6000 total. She loves it because the 1 carat stone looks huge on her tiny hands :)

*Updated**Pics* My Weekend Sucks so far. Brakes go out on one vehicle, then car fire on the other within 24 hours.

Holy crap, it took a 1" impact to remove an AUTOMOTIVE lug nut?? We use those on big truck lug nuts in our shop. Will your compressor supply the CFM needed for that thing? Anyways, that sucks. One time on my '94 Chevy pickup the remote wire to my sub amp fell down from where I stuffed it...

If I remember correctly, I was told those are 42" tires, which (I think) were the largest that were made. I think they make something bigger now.

Tire tread on my back right tire came right off

Truckers call the large chunks of tread remains "alligators". Sometimes the tread just lets go ("bad recap") and sometimes, especially in the summer, they explode like bombs. I've been in a truck when that happens--not fun.

OFFICIAL Joint cracking thread

I crack several of my joints; it drives my dad nuts. He has actaully smacked me because of it. I crack: neck, back, fingers, wrists, elbows, ankles, knees, toes, and feet. It's hard to describe how the feet crack--I can shift my weight in a certain way so that the middle of my foot cracks...

These people deserve to be shot!

I was just at Lowe's and saw some idiot guy back over one of those large blue carts they use for plywood. It was a young guy--he just laughed, put daddy's truck in drive, and drove away. But I'm pretty sure he's the one that left the cart there.

I hadn't thought of that! That sounds like a good answer, it's just been so long since I've messed with 98 (it is SE, by the way) I wasn't sure if that would work. Are you fairly certain that would work, without losing data?

Old win98 drive won't boot - need to retrieve data

I tried that; XP Pro doesn't recognize it. If you try to look at it in System Explorer it says its not formatted and asks if you want to format it. If you try to boot from the drive, though, it's obviously formatted and has Win98 on it. Any other suggestions?
