    Huh, interesting. I forgot to mention I'm using the Macbook with OS X Leopard 10.5.5. I've never attached an external display to mine, so I know that's not related to this case. It's just a pain having to reload another weather widget since the last one "walked" away from my screen :P

    Thanks for that link. Using a different fan, it appears to be not as effective as with Noctua's own fan.. strange. Makes me wonder how other high end heatsinks fare when paired up with the Noctua fan..

    Just a question for those using Vista RC1, what program/utility do you use to monitor voltages and temperatures? I've got the P5B-Deluxe/WiFi edition, and the latest version of Speedfan appears to only monitory my HDD temperatures. No voltage readings or CPU/Mobo temps. Thanks in advance.

    FX51 = Opteron 148? Or does it?

    AFAIK, only the Opteron 24x can be used in dual mode, Opteron 44x in quad mode, Opteron 84x in 8-way mode. Opteron 14x can only run in single processor mode. Since the FX-51 is almost equivalent to the Opteron 14x, it can only be run in single mode.

    If it's a buzzing noise, that's not DC. I've experienced this before, it's called a ground loop problem. What you're actually hearing IIRC, is a 60Hz signal coming from your cable line. I'll spare the technical details, but try disconnecting the cable and see if the noise is still there. If...
