According to their supposed pricing scheme (er scam) the most obscure songs imaginable are in "demand" and are now 90 cents or more.
I can only imagine the problem I'm going to have getting my $4.90 back.
The minimum is now $33.99 (I think) for Total Choice. Total Choice Plus is $39.99 and includes more channels (12 I think) and your locals. If you can get these receivers without it being a new subscription, great price. As a second, third, etc it would be $5 per month per receiver to activate...

Do what I just did, I called sales again and taped the entire conversation. I also said "Will this be good tomorrow too, January 31st" to get the date in. Pretty much same conversation as the other 2 (I ordered the 21st). I said I was interested in this deal for my parents...
I called twice before I ordered and received the same information. One month commitment. Both times I asked about the SECOND receiver for $49 and was told that requires a one year commitment for that price. If I wanted a one month commitment I would have to pay 99 DOLLARS for the SECOND...

Print the "letter" out on the first page (obviously) leave out the rest of the stuff around it. Call up your credit card company and tell them you have the letter and dispute it. You might try calling DTV back and tell them that's what you'll be doing. You could also call DTV...
Anybody get two receivers? I just called and they told me if you want the second one for $49 you have to commit for one year. Otherwise, it's $99. :confused:

It's my understanding that emulation is really for H cards or do you know something I don't? HU emulation apparently does not exist, only cloning or hacking. Both risk the original and/or cloned card.
From the little I read the HU cards once "glitched" can be destroyed by an ECM so you really don't want to play that game because you can easily end up with an ice scrapper.
Well, if this is still going on I'm ready for it but some questions.
1) Do they send you anything to indicate that you are only on the hook for one month?
2) Has anyone cancelled yet without issue after the one month?
3) Can you tell them you don't want installation? I already have a DirecPC...
