heres his testimony..
I don?t understand why I was banned for a week here.
The mod PM?ed me, stating that I wasn?t courteous to the other forum members. My comment isn?t nearly as harsh as comments made by many other members of this forum. For...
first of all you dont have to clean install os's every <insert specified time>.. if you do it right the first time.(cleanly).. i know it has plauged win9x kernel w/ slowing down and all and i also used to install that os ..over and over and over... however i've never had a problem w/ windows nt...
well atleast this detonator fixed my halflife exit crash bug and black & white crashing bug :)...
except i get this weird resize thing still every once in awhile in halflife..i can see the opengl box for the top 1/4 corner... then i gotta exit completely.. poo

this tells you step by step however toms hardware link to install linux drivers for nvidia
since redhat is based on RPMs... you downloaded the redhat RPM package right??
i'm actually not sure how to do it the RPM way..heh never really used RH,mandrake for various reasons...
however ..there are great instructions at tomshardware.com under the graphics section of how to install linux...
any of the 133a's will be fine for you...they will all work at 133mhz bus...
however going past 133 separates some of the boards........
its the motherboard that limits the fsb overclockablility.....not the cpu. (well so far)
both boards do 133mhz(266ddr) bus perfectly..there is no such thing as "as well" as the other...however, moving higher than 133+...i'd give the upper hand to the A1 steppings...
voltages will probably drop from the std 1.6 in duron/tbirds... however, lots of people run duron/tbirds...
it was doing that w/ some of the bios settings (perf enhancing ones) enabled....i forgot...loaded the failsafe ones...and then started my long list of testing checking each one to figure out what setting froze my mouse every once in a while....so far it doesnt seem to be any of the softmenu III...
i've tried it balael .... unfortunatly it had no affect on the overclockablilty of the bus :(.... took a long time to take the mobo off and put that artic silver on the northbridge too :(.... oh well it might work for you ..but i still cant get past 143...w/ my ram that hits 160 :(
i was running 10.5x 100...on my 800 duron before
but now i run 140x7.5 ....heeh
wayy faster... i dont think bus overclocking gets you lower clock speeds than just plain old multiplier overclocking
i connected the bridges on my druon 800 right away..
i took a pencil...and did it but it was so sloppy under a 30x manifier...
so i cut really really small notches on a cardboard......and used that as a templete over the bridges to use my .5 mm m-pencil..to make dark stright lines...
got it to...
