Does such a thing exist? I'm getting a high def TV soon, and want to hook my iMac, which isn't anywhere near the TV up to its VGA input for video playback. I'm not sure how feasible it is to run a VGA cable to it. But my home network is layed out so there's a switch by the TV for my TiVo and...

SFF with TV Out

I'm looking for a SFF PC (like one of the Shuttle cube ones) with TV Out for me to use as an HTPC. I haven't had much luck. Can someone recommend one? Thanks Alsol, would an SFF provide adequate cooling for an HTPC that will be running pretty much 24/7, encoding video and whatnot? Thanks

Backing up email

I want to format and re-install XP pro but don't want to lose all of my Outlook 2003 e-mail which is saved on my computer? What files to I need to back up so I can keep my mail? Also, if I could back up my account settings so I don't have to add those again that would be great. Thanks

I just built a PC. Windows XP, Asus A7V8X motherboard, AMD Athlon XP 2500 Barton. When I go to system properties, this is what Windows shows: click for screenshot The BIOS also shows something like this on bootup. Everything works great, its just that. What could be wrong with it? Thanks

Should OEMs remove the floppy from their standard list of parts on new machines now?

until some better, affordable removable technology comes around, no. Most of us here dont use floppies the way we did before CD burners. But occasionally, they still have to be used for BIOS upgrades and boot disks if something goes wrong.

I can ping each of the computers and both computers can access the router config page (http://192.168.1.1). there arent any proxys set either.

Caseless question: Why does my power supply refuse to power my drivers?

I assume youve tried several connectors on different drives, so its not a single connector or drive giving you problems. Then it might be a bad PSU (although its wierd that it powers the mobo) what kind of psu is it?

Hi. I have a gigabyte 7dxr+ motherboard and SiSoft lists 3 temps: Board Temp CPU Temp Power Temp What exactly are the board and power temp? The power is probably the temp inside the PSU, but wtf is the board temp? Thanx BTW, the board is around 21C and the power temp is around 28C

temps too high?

im just using the thermal pad on the hsf. this was my first build and I didnt want to screw something up with thermal paste or anything. my system runs fine. no lockups or reboots.

I just built my first computer, an athlon xp 1800 with a gigabyte 7dxr+ board and using the retail hsf that came with the processor (i know it isnt the best) it idles around 55 or so and after gaming in gta3 or rtcw, its no more than 62. Its an antec case, with the front fan and 2 rear fans...

Hi. I just built a computer with an OEM ATI Radeon 7500 64 meg DDR. The company that made it is called Sapphire. I popped in the CD to install the drivers and it tells me that the card isnt compatible with the drivers. I tried downloading drivers from Sapphire's site and that didnt work either...

Small Question for those of you that have the Antec SX1040 Case.

mine was missing one too. i think its because that top slot is for a video card, and all computers have them (unless you have onboard)
