Ok well, I'm looking to make a very cheap upgrade to my k7 system, for about $100 I'm going to get an ECS K7S5A, and an oem duron 1ghz. Can anyone reccomend a quiet and cheap CPU fan for me? I don't plan on overclocking, I just want it to run stable!

The reason I ask is because I recently purchased a 1ghz oem duron from newegg. I tried the pencil trick on it and it didn't seem to work, so I thought I did something wrong. I did notice that the bridge were like this, not like this. Is there any way I can tell if I have AFAIK core without...

disappointed with SK6 (edit: i found the problem! what a great heatsink!)

<< I'm running a 1700+ with the SK-6 and my max temp has been 49 C. I'm not even using the Delta screamer, replaced it with a Sunon 80mm. The Sk-6 is a great HS, maybe there is something else going on with your systems. >> Does the 80mm fit on it ok? I was thinking of getting rid of my delta...

Well, I didn't know abit had made one, all I was aware of was the asus and msi. Thanks for the info on the new 415, but I heard the 220 was also rumored to be around the same price. Are they they same thing, except the 420 has the onboard video? Are there any reviews for the abit board yet?
