**Thanks to Cryect for supplying the code I needed for the flashlight hack.**
One last mod before I go to bed. This one give you a ton of stuff so you might want to turn up the difficulty to compensate.
Added flashlight to pistol, machinegun, shotgun and...
Where do you get the impression that guns are "sold to anyone"? There are already plenty of laws that prevent this but there needs to be a crackdown on them instead of making new laws.
The current Assult Weapons Ban only bans the launcher not the ammunition (grenades). The grenades themselves are banned under a completely separate law, the Nation Firearms Act (NFA) which is not expiring and not under debate here.
I've never had to do this often in the past but its come up now. How can I save a video file from an url(no hyperlink) in IE without going through a ton of hoops? If I disable streaming altogether, wont that screw up permanent streaming video?
Basically, can I just set it so that certain...
I love it how power supply requirements/recommendations have skyroketted in the past couple of years. 400W minimum...right . 380W is more than enough unless the PSU is junk which I doubt.
I happened across this on newegg.
A64
It a A64 which is listed as "For DTR Notebooks" but its still socket 754 so I don't see why this can't be used in a desktop mobo. Can anyone confirm?
Edit: Linked. Auto parse my ass.
Lap the heatsink.
I have a mobile 2400 running at 2.3(13.5x170@1.675V). Using an Alpha 8045 (lapped) with AS3 and a 49cfm fan. Doesn't break 37C under load. My basement is about 20-25 ambient.
Why don't you inspect the HSF? Since you've probably never cleaned it out for a long time, you should strip down your HSF and clean it. I recommend soap and water for the block, its cheaper than trying with canned air. Also make sure the cpu topside is clean before applying new goop.
From what I can tell, your mobo will either report a sensor or diode temp but not both. You should only have 1 CPU reading and shouldn't be worried about switching between the two since you will most likely not have a choice.
I bought it at newegg. You don't have to tell me about their policies, I have read them.
Its not often that a cpu just dies after being run too high. It usually just doesn't work but it doesn't get damaged. The only two things that make sense and are well proven is that heat and voltage can...
Im just puzzled why its acting like this. On paper, yes, I did void the warranty. But you cannot rule out that the chip might have been defective anyway. I didn't overvolt it and I've never heard of CPUs being damaged from what I did.
I just got a 2400+ mobile barton yesterday and my troubles keep getting worse. I popped it in and fired it up at the normal speed. Ran about 30min of prime95 and all seems good. So I get antsy and jack up the speed to 2.4. Fails prime95 within minutes. I suspect my voltage and ram are to...
I just got a Toshiba 5005-S507 laptop and I want to know how fast the video ram is rated so I know how far I 'should' push it on a overclock. However, I don't want to bust the thing wide open....yet. I know that its not 100% certain that 2 Satellite 5005s will have the same DDR vid ram but...
I just got a cheap 21" monitor I'd like to use as a pseudo HDTV in my bedroom. I need a good scan converter that will convert composite, S-video and component video to a VGA(HD15 or BNC) signal. I would like something less than $100. Anyone know of any?
Well, most vendors don't even offer the GF4 with anything but a 15" (1600x1200) LCD. I wish it was 1280x1024 but no one offers a LCD in that res for a laptop, let alone one with a GF4. And Im not streching the screen, that just looks ass.
My pop is getting a laptop thru work so its pretty much free and it can be no more than $2500. Plus we get tax exemption and educational discount :-P. I was looking at the Toshiba 5105 vs the Dell 8200. The toshiba is the best buy but its GF4 440 only comes with 32mb of ram. Since the LCD is...
Im thinking about buying a HDTV to replace my current non-functional standard TV. I was just confused about a few of the formats.
1)1080i, Im assuming this means 540 lines of a frame every 1/60 of a sec. Do I have to have a special DVD player to produce a 1080i signal?
2)720p. Should I even...
