try loading windows on another drive and then slaving that drive off the one that works. my friend does that alot of times on drives that aren't working and it does do the trick alot of times when nothing else does work.

Best piece of advice I can give you is to not lose your CD. And when you make backups make sure that they do work. Thats what I would do from now on. Then you wouldn't have this problem. Oh another thing that you can do is save one file in windows. look in tweakxp for the file that saves...
I don't think that it matters if it voids the warranty. They can't void a warranty for you putting in new ram. At least in my state they can't. Second of all if it is under warranty you have rights to have it fixed in a reasonable amount of time say like less than 2 weeks is reasonable. I...
well check on newegg my friend got his kids something very cheap. didn't cost him a whole lot. think he went with a soltek mobo and duron 1 gig with 128 mb ram and some cheap vid card. all in all I think he spent less than 300 bucks on it. he got tired of his kids screwing his up. he will...
I have mohaa on my system running under winxp. it runs great with no problems or any crashes ever since I have gotten it.
Plus it installed easily as well with no problems.
amd 900@1ghz
256mb ram crucial ram cl 2
gef2 gts oc as well running 27.42 reference drivers
iwill kk266+r running in...
try just unhooking the cables then booting up then rebooting and hooking the cables back up. sounds like to me you got a bad set of drivers or something. I don't run me and never have ran that worthless os but I am thinking that you can to a regedit/restore from dos? i don't know. I know in...
spectek chips aren't that good. friend of mine speaks from experience.
micron gets chips in and puts them together and sells them at that.
I am thinking that they are mostly remanufactured ram chips or something. though could be wrong. I read it somewhere once. guess I could ask some...
It was fake plus thats kinda old saw it like a month ago.
no way would they be able to do that legally. think about what would happen if someone did that. well they would get sued big time. one thing to kick the guy out and ban him from ever playing in a tourney again but you can't destroy...
hmmm firing? how did you fire it? or did you mean fry it?
anyways call amd and see if they will replace it and call epox and see if they will replace it as well. other than taht I don't know if they will or not
there is a problem with msn sometimes cuz it won't send files or something even with the ports opened up on port forwarding or using dmz from what I have read on other forums. I dunno. guess I will try it and see.
[boot loader]

[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
thats the best that I can do for you since I dual boot. i think though that...
well you shouldn't have to do anything. it should recognize everything still. I guess I could try it and verify on my iwill board with my friends board but can't do it tonight to make sure.
does it have to be the kt266a chipset? why not go with the kt133a chipset or something like that. I know my iwill board has one isa slot. i have it so I can use my modem still if need be which more than likely is gonna happen cuz I am having my friend do my taxes and her computer is broken.
well they should match up if they don't than I would suggest you send it back to them. micron is a reputable company. I usually buy crucial ram from them with no problems.
yeah try to delete the file in normal windows if not then go into safe mode to try and delete it. make sure it isn't set to read only. maybe the fbi is watching you hehe.
newegg will prolly replace ur stuff. btw whats wrong with amd? sounds like you just got unlucky. i bought my stuff from newegg as well as have bought stuff for ppl I build comptuers for and no problems with them. but I am sure that you can rma it though i don't know if you will get ur money...
what you can do is let it search for drivers and let it search on the net.
go here and read about what this guy does to get something like that to work.
I don't think that you can run a 16kb stripe size if you are running an iwill kk266 raid board. think the smallest it goes is 32kb which is what I have mine at.
you gotta make sure that your friends aren't hiding behind a firewall as well. so far with my router the linksys one it works fine for transferring files and all of that stuff when I open up the ports that need to be opened.
but I couldn't figure it out for a while until I figured out my...
try here
same test as on dslreports but alot better bandwith.
so are you getting 73kbps down or are you getting 73KB/s down? big difference there in things really.
go here
test your speeds out and you can read what bits byte kb KB mean all of that. Plus you can test your speeds.
www.cablenut.com
www.speedguide.com
www.dslreports.com
all 3 very good sites to optimize your speeds.
I have a raid 0 setup on my system and it works pretty nicely I think. there is some more speed than others as far as loading games and stuff I have noticed. also booting time is reduced some as well. If you were to go with an iwill board its like 10 bucks more to get the kk266plus raid board...
i am using winxp pro with 22.80s. work great for me. 23.11s work good too but I think I squeeze like 2-3 more fps outta the 22.80s and they don't crash so I figure I just leave them alone for the time being.
I have msn and use a linksys router as well. haven't had any problems sending msgs but i can't send a file to someone though I think that my friend has his screwed up cuz I opened up the ports that it said to open up. but I can recieve from him so I don't think that it is my firewall or...
I wouldn't complain too much. best I ever got was 52 which I thought was great. but if you are experiencing slow downloads and uploads then it could be that your modem is downshifting and upshifting the speeds too much. might want to try only allowing it to connect at a slower speed so it...
