Necro-post! The car is now 14+ years old and almost 260,000 miles... so hard to let go. I've been getting egged on to buy the Tesla for the last 4-5 years now, but I can't let this guy go!
I remember back in the early 2000's, if one of the members needed help with getting votes in a contest or something like that, he or she would come here and ask for the "ATOT Effect" and get hundreds of people to help out.
Do we have enough active members for this to exists anymore? I was...
There's no such thing as free. If you want community college to be free, it has to be paid somehow (more taxes).
The other risk you run into is that everyone goes to CC after graduation, even those who are not even serious about school and just wants to coast by (it's free, so why not).
I...
I'm not sure why he's receiving so much hate. Yes, people shouldn't put money into Whole Life Insurance, but not everyone is financially savvy and others suck at self-discipline. So if it's hard for him to stash away his money and funnel it into an IRA with index funds, then forcing him to put...

Amazon does these deals regularly when you connect your American Express card with its Membership Rewards as a payment option. You MUST have an AMEX card linked for the offer to potentially appear. Similar promotions exists from...
First, not everyone has variable pricing for electricity. A lot of folks are on fixed rates. Secondly, I don't quite understand you logic. If you're not home during the non-peak hours, why would you leave it on regardless? I assume you're going to use it during peak hours anyways once you get...
I still get my WiFi from Comcast, but dropped cable a while ago and did a Netflix/Hulu/Prime combination.
1. Netflix for their original series and content library
2. Hulu for live TV and sports
3. Prime for Handmaid's Tale since I already have Amazon Prime
Things that would make the world better, but politics and short-term mentality would never make it happen (at least anytime soon):
mandatory recycling
ban of single-use plastics
ban of plastic bags
max of two children per family
legalized prostitution
sunset fossil fuel use
an eye-for-eye penalty
Some of you guys need to invest in a smart thermostat or switch off your AC when you're not home. You're not getting any benefits from leaving it on, but you're spiking your electric bill and exacerbating waste.
I watched it - it was alright. I mean, it's really two A-list actors with B-list acting skills. The former draws the viewers and the latter gets their movies reviewed 3 out of 5 stars.
Hey Kaido,
The general trend in the U.S., especially among the younger demographics, is towards healthier, farm-to-table food. Or. if they still want convenience, they go to fast-casual (Panera Bread), which is a lot healthier than traditional fast-food joints. The vast majority of Americans...
Not IT consultant, but on the business side. I was in finance when I was with Raytheon/L-3.
I still have the NH house, but live in MA. Not renting it yet, but a home away from home! And yes, we were just kids... now I'm approaching 40!
I'm the one who started the ***Official 20xx Stock Market Thread*** :)
Yes, Rambus included. I made six-figures with Rambus, but an adverse court legal decision against them in 2011 made me lose almost all of it. I had some put options that were up 8,000% on that day alone, but didn't have...
Hey Zeze,
No, long gone from Raytheon. I left in 2012 to go to another competitor, L-3. Then I switched to Liberty Mutual in Boston managing their business strategy. Now I have switched out of the Fortune 500's at a smaller (relatively) company in Boston running their direct-to-consumer and...
I'm surprised how fast the Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat is penetrating places, but it's a good thing overall. A lot of human activities isn't sustainable, including raising animals for meat (and this is coming from a meat-eater).
I did indeed cancel it. It was the right decision at the time considering most of the benefits leaned heavily towards the well-travelled.
Now that I fly so often for pleasure though, this card would fit right in with what I need. It gets difficult trying to chase top-tier elite status on...
LOL - still ragging on me zimu?
I think you were beaten with a stick by a lot of ATOT members in the last thread. Everyone knows by now my investing method is unconventional. It is NOT a buy and hold, cruise and smooze strategy. There's a higher risk involved, and yes, there's time when it...
What about the green bounce rate of 30.51% vs red's slightly better 30.20%, or green's average CPC per click of $0.230 vs red's slightly better $0.231? Statiscally insignificant compared to green's positive?
Send me your PayPal e-mail address Glenn and dawheat. Looks like you guys are the...
That's the correct answer in that there is no right answer (other than it's definitely not the original ad). However, the objective is to pick one and back-up your answer.
That matlab equation someone else did is only one measurement that person created. If you're an internet marketer, it's...
What the... :)
What does this ratio measure exactly??
I am leaning towards red too, as it has a better CPC rate than the one we have and the green one, but I'm not sure how to defend against green's higher total revenue.
You can only choose one, but you're right that both are better than the current :)
I'm inclined to go with the red, because the average CPC per click is slightly better than green (how most people measure performance) and they both beat the control.
The bounce rate percentage is better...
