In the days of the Celeron 300MHz, I do believe that chips from the "prime cut" of the wafer did overclock better than chips on the edge of the wafer. Some of these prime chips were not good enough to make the next "bin" ie...
you have something corrupt in the registry....but it may have been caused by a hardware problem. Try a Win98 start-up disk and execute the registry restore if you can. Or use the Xp cd and go to the repair console.
download hard drive mechanic demo. It will at least tell you if it is a hard drive problem or not. Then restore to an ealier registry - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304449
I have several email accounts, some free like yahoo, mail.com and some on my own domain. Each has varying amounts of spam. It seems that my address I use for Ebay has the most spam. Other family members that get large amounts of spam probably at some time or other used the blue mountain...
I have an Abit TH7II-Raid with a 1.8a GHz P4. I changed my user settings to 133MHz FSB in the bios, but the computer posts with 1800MHz still. CPU-z also shows 1800MHz. What am I missing?

Is it possible to share a dial-up internet connection with a laptop using a wireless pc card and a destop using a wireless usb adapter? The desktop is running Win98SE, so I will be using ICS. I am not sure if the 2 types of wireless devices will connect together without any type of wireless...
So I found out that you can not share the MS fax device under WinXp. I had to install WinFax Pro 10.02 on both computers and enable fax share. It works pretty well, but I was hoping that the cheaper (free) alternative would have worked.
Here is my setup: Desktop - WinXp with cable modem and linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router. Notebook - WinXp with Orinoco silver wireless card.
If I install the WinXp Fax utility on my desktop, will I be able to fax a document from my notebook? I figure I can "share" the fax printer so the...

This is a valuable tool if you are always fixing your relatives' or friends' computers because they messed it up installing some crappy software. I create a backup before I install any new software, so I can revert back when I decide to...
