Having trouble identifying the cause of memory delays and freezes while my US Robitics modem attempts to close/release its com port. Is there a tweak to ensure the release of the port and/or the memory or process causing the freezing?
Is there any cure to the Memory glitches/freezes caused by Com Ports not closing properly in Windows (9.X thru XP Pro)? Is the problem caused by Windows or the hardware involved (usually the modem)?
