please help me... board wont stay on

I am prety sure it's an Athlon mobo. Set BUS speed to 100, get it to post and then set it back to 133. If you have a heatsink with a thermal pad and it's installed correctly, you might wonna let it run without a video card for a minute, so that the pad melts properly and then reinstall the video...

Gigabyte 8IEXP HPrimary Slave Hard Disk Fail

You can plug ATA133 drive into ATA33 port and it still will work just fine. The only problem that you will have is that ATA133 drive will run at ATA33 performance. Trust me. Have been working with computers for 9.5 years 8 hours a day. :) Well... another thing is your BIOS might not recognize...

That is kind of funny... I wonder why 875P doesn't allow you to run memory @ 400 using 533FSB CPU. On AT Mainbord page there is a review of Gigabyte's SiS chipset board and it does show higher results with 400 memory over 333 or 266 running 3.06 P4, which is 533... I am actually thinking to get...

Techo, how in the world do you run your 333 memory @ 467???? :confused: BTW, you o/c is amazing :) I have 2.53 which is not C1 and it only runs stable at about 2.9 :( but I can't complain about the price.. I've paid $132 about 6 month ago for this CPU ;) :)

Overclocking beyond air?

I have my case open, since I play with drives a lot. As far as temp difference that could be due to not putting full load on the processor. As a matter of fact, I am gonna download Prime95 right now and see what it does to my tempreture.

Sorry. Forgot to mention :) :) :) It is running at stock :( :( :( That what kills me.. Could be the sensor on my GA-8IHXP... I think, I am gonna go with GB or SIS655 for dual-ddr, since SIS can run PC3200 in dual mode...

AMD 200+xp.. is it thoroughbread or palomino?

If the information is not on the core intself, then it's T-Bred. It should have rectangular shape. Palomino is very close to square and almost twice as big.

Ok ok.. Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly :) :) :) I got so sick of my P4 2.53 running @ 53C idle and over 60C loaded that I decided to use something other than air cooling :) I tried different Intel HSF, tried AS3 with no luck. Anybody knows good cooling equipment around $100 that is not...

Want to upgrade CPU on my Thinkpad 600, from PII 300 MMC2 to PIII 450 MMC2. Possible?

Do you kknow which chipset is that thinkpad? 300MHz came in 2 flavors. One was 66MHz FSB and the other one 100. 450 only came in 100, so it might or might not work depending on the chipset.

matching pair of RDRAM question

I have hard time believing that your game would use 512MB or RAM. Are you doing anything else while playing the game? Sounds like something heavy or the whole bunch of smaller programs are running in background.

Recovering Deleted Data

As Zepper mentioned, there is R-Studio available but you will only need R-Undelete. If your FS is FAT32 then it'll cost you $25. I had to pay $55, since I have NTFS but let me tell you one thing... I'd pay $300-$500 for this program without a second thought, since it's recovered digital...

"Ripping" movies - DVDs, VHS too.

I withnessed a copy of 2 DVD's using DVDxCopy program. Works great! But it was at work :) At home I use DVD2SVCD, since I don't have a DVD burner. DVD2SVCD gives me perfect quality. I think, I'll stay with that, since my second PC is dedicated to this program ;)
