How much do they markup HDTVs?

I bought a 55" HDTV when I worked at Best Buy a few years ago, a brand new model Mitsubishi 3 days after they got it in the store. $2100 retail, I believe I paid roughly $1500 for it.

What temps are people getting on AMD cpu's

In my Shuttle XPC I'm getting around 40 idle, 52 or so full load. I'm satisfied enough for a SFF. I also turned the fans down to Ultra-Silent in the bios, anything less and it sounds like a airplane hanger. I'm sure I could get the temps lower if I increased the fan speed, but it's a trade...

Vista incredible slow to transfer files

Fully updated my Vista, still the same thing. So decided to ditch the FireWire (which was transferring at 500 kbps and estimated it to finish in 1 day 21 hours to give the USB a shot. It's going along at 31MB/sec and giving me a 2 hour estimate.

Best way to prep a HDD for sale?

I have a few HDD's that I'm replacing from my old PC that I'm going to be selling on the For Sale forum. What's the best way to prep them? Will the simple Format under Windows be the safest way to prep and ensure that all my data from them is unrecoverable? Or is there another method?

Go for the Brisbane if it's the 65w. It'll run cooler. I went ahead and got the 4800+ myself, waiting for the UPS guy to drop off my new parts tomorrow. I figure I'll be set until the Phenom drops to a reasonable price sometime next year.

Well I do run it through the deep analysis if maybe that's another step. Both my rigs are running 8x burners on 7200 RPM HDD's. I'll probably step up to another P4 rig or maybe give the A64 a shot in a few months as my main video rig.
