ATI 9700pro - 6218 released - Fastwrite fix

HELP !! - ATI radeon 8500

I had this same problem when I recieved my Radeon 8500 and installed it on a Shuttle AK31a. I had to go into bios and switch to either AGP 1x or 2x to boot up properly. Tech support at Shutttle said after I removed and reinstalled the drivers while in 2x mode I would be able to sellect AGP 4x...

Any suggestion for an ATX Power Supply?

The power supplies are designed only to have an output when attached to a load. You can hook the motherboard connector up and check the +12 and +5 on one of the drive connectors, fr that matter if any of your fans run +12 is good.

When you see DDR referenced as 200, 266, 333,400 that is the frequency in Mhz that it is clocked. When it is referenced as pc1600,pc2100, pc2400, 2700 etc that is the theoretical maximum bandwidth in Mb/s,. DDR266=pc2100, DDR333=pc2700, DDR-400=pc3200. RDRAM is rated at the clock speed it runs...

K7S5A Help!!!!

I've used this board in three systems, using both Durons and Athlons. No problems in 9 months. AMD=Quality. The K7S5A is a great board, except for the lack of OCing.

ATI 8500DV or GeForce 4 and ATI TV Wonder?

I installed a ATI TV Wonder VE (only difference is TV tuner is not stereo) and GF2 32mb DDR in my daughters computer, all of the TV Wonder's features operate as advertised. I was actually quite impressed considering it $40 price tag.

Why would anyone buy a Radeon 8500?

Well first off because it's image quality is better, both cards have framerates so high you can't see the difference in real games. But don't go there with the drivers, I've got a system with a GEFORCE 2 whose drivers change once a month, but check a little deeper, NVIDIA drivers get Microsoft...

Audigy install probs on a SOYO 7V Dragon+ and Win2k and GeForce3 Ti200

I don't know how much help I can be, becuase it has been a while, but I own two of the Audigy cards. (one platinum, one MP3), first of make sure you download the latest version of windows installer, I used INSTMSI versiom 12.0.2600.1, but I was running ME, wouldn't install you original versions...

Upgrade from a Epox 8K7A (AMD 760) to a Shuttle KT266A...FORMAT OR NOT ??

replaced Gigabyte GA7-ZX1 with a Shuttle AK31A, without a hiccup, unified VIA drivers were automatically reloaded by windows. Radeon 8500 still won't work in AGP4x, benchmarks are where they should be, just can't use that setting in BIOS.
