    I have both the SK6 and the MCX 462. They both have great cooling and fit the Soltek board with no problems. If you have the money go with the MCX462.

    This combo does work and works well. I just built my third system with a Soltek and 8500. My bench mark test were slow after I updated the drivers to a beta version. Reinstalled back to CD version and works great!!

    Do you have any intake/outtake fans? Did you use AC2/3? And you have to have your HSF Fan sucking instead of blowing.

    Shims won't really improve your cooling but, it will help in not cracking your chip. HSF Installation!

    Are you OC'ing? Did you use ASII, ASIII? When I was running A7V266 my temps were 41C Idle 47C Full load and that was with a cheap coolermaster HSF.

    That is correct Zap In the future, USB 2.0 will probably be native to the motherboard chipsets and thus USB 1.1-only will go away.

    My 8045 would actually touch the cap so I grinded it down with a dremel. You could get away using plain old sandpaper. Enjoy

    There isn't a problem unless you are running 4 fans 2 harddrives and 2 CDR/CD drives etc.. More hardware on the power supply will make that 250 burn out quicker than Mariah Carey
