I went to install my Small Business Server 2000 from my action Pack(Great Deal) and the darn cd drive stopped working right in the middle of the load. Thought it was the OS, but I can't get any bootable cd's to work either. Did we have a 3 year warantee on these suckers?
The Router is my DHCP and is passing the real DNS addresses. No proxy. Other machines seem fine. Renewing usually gives same ip back, but you can realease and renew successfully. Will check latency soon.

When I reboot any machine( I have lots and all different MS OS's) on my network, I can't get on the web right away. I tried renewing the ip and flushing the dns table and all sorts of things. The only thing that seems to work is to constantly ping my dns server and keep trying IE until it...
By the way, nbtstat -R, nbtstat -RR and ipconfig /flushDNS don't seem to make a difference and the machines are 98, ME, 2k, xP, and .net so its not operating specific, unless you want to start picking on MS
