Nope. I use calculus everyday, and as such, have had to practically memorize the basic methods of integrating forms of a+bx. The integral of xdx/(a+bx) is 1/b^2(a+bx-a ln|a+bx|)+C

Edema is simply swelling around the eye that is a result of the conjunctivitis (commonly called "pink-eye"). Conjunctivitis is easily spread amongst animals, and can transmit to humans, so wash your hands after administering drops and don't rub your eyes if you can help it. No big problems...

fubar-ed my mandrake installation *fixed* Now with more questions!

How do i log in as root in mandrake?

you could kill "X" with ctrl-alt-backspace, which would drop you to the shell. Typing "exit" would back you out further. You could then login with root and enter the password. Enter "startx" at the root prompt to start "X" as root.

9800 Pro - AGP Acceleration not enabled - Why/How?

Your benchmark scores are quite representative of your hardware. You should not expect higher scores. My hardware is not far off of yours, and my scores are very similar. Bragging rights from 3dMark mean very little anymore.

I like Slackware, but...

There are a couple really great distribution out there (IMHO) that would do what you want. ALT Linux is based on Mandrake, and uses "apt" for the frontend of package management. Think Debian's package reliability and dependency resolution, with the user-friendliness of Mandrake. ASP Linux is...

im going back FAT32

How do you define slow? Wherever you read that NTFS is suitable only for drives >30 GB is wrong. NTFS is fine (and fast) on a 6GB drive in my system right now. Use NTFS for the whole drive. Stay away from FAT16 for your page file. FAT16 is old and slow, that's why it's not used anymore...

Linux Distributions

ALT Linux Based off of Mandrake (uses Mandrake's installer, but gives a little better control to the installation). Uses APT for packages, so dependency issues are few and far between. A very good distro for the newcomer that likes an easy to configure system without rpm hell. ASP Linux...

Incorrect RAM detected in Linux

Had a similar problem a while back. Don't know for sure, but it seemed to me that 1024MB was the cutoff point for Linux's "himem" support for the kernel. I had to recompile the kernel to get it to see and use more than 768MB of my ram. Maybe it helps, maybe it don't.

I should have quantified my statement better before posting. I am not getting 2 WU's per 5 hour period...it's 1 WU for 5 hours when running two instances. If I could figure out how to set up SETIQue, maybe I would have more insight.
