Switching monitor focus

I'm talking about games that don't natively support exiting to Windows through alt+tab/windows key/etc. For example, Final Fantasy XI disables the windows key because people would mistakenly hit it and crash to the desktop.

Switching monitor focus

I've tried Hydravision and Ultramon so far and neither has been able to simply switch between monitors. They both seem to attempt to create virtual desktops on the same monitor, merely stretching the desktop to the second monitor.

Switching monitor focus

I have two CRT monitors hooked up to an Asus Radeon 9600XT. In some games requiring full screen mode, I can't switch out of the game to my other monitor without crashing the game, because it attempts to jump to windowed mode. Is there a program that will allow me to jump between monitors...

I'm using the cable that came with the hard drive, so I have no doubt that it is the proper 80 pin configuration. I have not had any problems with data loss, only the fact that it is showing used space that has no relevant data on it.

When I use the controller card with the drive as my boot drive, the computer hangs at the point where the card is detecting the drives attached to it. It does work when I am using it as a secondary drive. I did not try Intel app accelerator since it looked like it was only designed for intel...

I'm running XP Pro and I got a new Western Digital special edition 200 gigger- so I decided to reinstall cleanly on the new drive. My mobo is an Epox 8kha+ flashed to the newest bios. The mobo recognized the drive, but Windows saw it as only 137 gigs. I saw that SP1 was necessary to support...

Whats the best place to buy a 5.25 to 3.5 mounting kit?

Got mine at Fry's, though it wasn't incredibly cheap- around 10 bucks. It did come with a lot of different size racks for if you want to go that route. I couldn't find a plain jane simple mount, that was the closest they had.

Oh and speaking of unoptimized server code, I (and 7 other people on the server) managed a 3,000 ping yesterday!!! That's 3 seconds! The jerking when running gave me a headache ;-p

If you want to be qualified to play the other maps, edit <yourusername>.ini in the System/save directory. It should have a bunch of numbers separated by commas like 0,15,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0... change the first three numbers to 3,15,15 and it should let you into all maps now.

Nvidia Geforce4 default clock issue

Odd, I'm in Rivatuner right now with my Ti4400. If you were looking at low level system tweaks (overclocking) it should have the speeds as the true doubled values. I'm using Rivatuner 2.0 RC 10.2. What ver are you using?

Hypothetical: Do cracked software packages contain viruses

If the package is modified by an outside source, sure there can be a virus somewhere in the software package. Any crack that you download, whether it be an .exe or .com or whatever, can be a virus as well. Groups try to protect from outside modification of releases with CRC checkfiles, but...

New Hercules Kyro driver.... v15.84 for Win9x, 2000, XP

Still having problems with Morrowind even with a clean install of the new drivers- have to enable Force W buffering and Defer Render Until Flip in the advanced settings... although problems in 3d Mark seem to have been resolved. My 3dmark 2001 score- 3332 @ default

I'm @ work right now so not able to test, but I installed these over the previous reference drivers and my performance in Morrowind dropped significantly. Still quite playable, but I wonder if its because of the video options I had to tweak to get it working in the first place. Does Morrowind...

Full Throttle......old school pc game

Yeah full throttle and grim fandango were really great games. I love the dialog choices in fandango, will never forget some of them. Just like the monkey island games. "Look out behind you, its a 3-headed monkey!" and "I'm selling these fine leather jackets." Brings a tear to my eye.

Looking like crazy for this shareware desktop proggie

I saw it at work and promptly forgot the URL on the way back home (of course) It was a new program (I think it was german) that shows a changing universe background on your desktop. It was very impressive looking, and about 5-6 megs I think. Would really appreciate it if anybody could find it!

So it Finally Happened.... Family Guy has been Cancelled

Shameful... Family Guy was there to fill the void of the ever-declining humor of the Simpsons (although some of the most recent episodes have been near the old quality) Would be great if UPN picked it up, if not... it's been semi-cancelled before. Hope for the best.
