Get a USB hub and ditch the slot cooler. You'll have one slot for your TV tuner and one free slot besides that.

What would make Serial ATA better? Something seems inherently better about sending multiple bits at once instead of just one. :P

Is 65C bad? :) My temperature woes worsen....

If you have enough space around the socket for it, I highly recommend the Alpha PAL8045. It's an 80mm heatsink, so it might not fit. I get temps in the high 30's-low 40's C with a low-noise fan.

In an SB Live 5.1/Inspire 5300 5.1, can I LOWER the volume of the 2 fronts to make the center channel stand out?

If the front left and right speakers go through a standard headphone style plug, then this trick will work. Go to Radio Shack and look for a "headphone volume knob" or something like that. Basically, it's a cord with a headphone plug at one end, a headphone socket at the other, and a volume...

Do Athlon XP's have problems? UPDATE: it's VIA's fault!

That's really, really odd. As the sig shows, I have a 1600+ running about 25% faster than that, and it's never given me a bit of trouble.

Pioneer or Toshiba 16x DVD-ROM?

<< I have the pioneer DVD-106S drive and I love it. The slot load is a neat feature and has no problems reading any cds I throw at it. >> Same here. The only problems you might have with it would be with using 3.5" CDs, but they're not all that common so it's not much of an issue.

Nice to see someone else who's had a good experience with the XP333. Haven't gotten mine to go past 162 FSB, but I think it's my memory holding me back. It's PC2100, not 2700. I'd heard that this was a fairly popular motherboard around here, don't know if that's true. Not too many Iwill users...
