Win9x keeps losing drive maps

We have a very simple drive map scheme setup b/t two machines in a p2p network; Win98 and WinMe. However, frequently either machine will lose their assigned drive mappings and I have to go and set them up all over again. Is there something that I can do to make the mappings more permanant?

I'm trying to upgrade Win95a to Win95 OSR2, but the setup routine says I need the upgrade. I remember there is a trick, by deleting one or a couple of files from the existing install, the setup routine will ignore the fact that I'm trying to use a full version. I've googled this one to death...

Celeron 266 retail boxed, Should fan run at all times?

The CPU fan on that chip (I know b/c I owned two) should run constantly unless in sleep/hibernate mode. It's rare to see an OEM chip that doesn't use active cooling when the same chip retails w/active cooling. If the manufacturer can engineer a passive design, then sure. Like I said though...

Thanks for the heads up Hawkeye! These are good quality drives made by Afreey. Actually, the DAE on this drive is exceptional. It's #9 out of 179 drives rated for DAE @ CD Speed "Prime Peripherals" is just a rebadger of OEM supplied drives.
