Um not really, this is a totally clean system with sp3 installed. There were no other applications running in the background when I started the update, only Internet Explorer.
Are you connected via DVI or Analog interface when you say you didn't experience any ghosting? And which game were you playing to test? Any other opinions on this? I'd rather not open up the LCD and find out it has ghosting issues (even minor), and sell it instead while it's new in box. Thanks...
So has any of you tested this in FPS games like Counter Strike or UT2003? I have a 17" LCD right now and I have no idea what the response time is but there's definitely a little ghosting while playing CS. So if any of you have actual experience using this monitor with CS using DVI or Analog...
Woohoo just got confirmation that both the Camera and the Memory shipped today! I was just emailing them this morning cuz the order disappeared from my order history and they asked me if i'd like to keep the order still so I said ok. Now I check my email and they both show up as...
I placed the order late saturday night before they took it off the site sunday. I had an email confirmation that the order will arrive by the 8th (tomorrow) and the camera/memory also showed up as backordered. However, this morning I received a call from them to confirm my shipping address for...
I have the same soundcard and speaker setup as you...just without the encore decoder. You said that the sound from the SPDIF cable (red one) that connects from your dvd decoder to the speakers still work right? If so there's nothing wrong with the SPDIF cable (red one) or your speakers.
I've...
Your platinum card came with a Live!Drive right? I connected the SPDIF Out from the sound card/Live!Drive to the back of the DTT2500. I've tried both the digital connection and the analog...there's really no difference in quality.
By "Data Cd," I think you're referring to packet writing such as DirectCD where you must format the cd first before drag-n-dropping files onto the cd.
What types of cd is he burning? (Data, audio, mixed-mode, cd-extra) What type of media is he using? (Brand...cdr...cdrw) What drive did he use to make the cd and what drive was he using as the reader? A little more information and maybe we can find out what's going on.
"Burn-Proof" is a technology developed by Sanyo which eliminates the problem of buffer underruns. Buffer underrun occur when your cd writer is writing faster than your cd reader can read data from the cd. "Burn-Proof" basically allows the cd writer to stop and wait for the...
Rhinopoint kept telling me they'd pay me, that they were handling over 200-300 payments a day in July. After filling out two surveys and receiving a bunch of bs emails, they just stopped emailing me. I hope someone pays for this. I already sent in my complaint, everyone who got screwed over...
I have 5 computers sharing dsl at my apartment and we just picked up the netgear rt311 router from outpost ($115 overnight shipping). We already have a switch so there's no need for the rt314 model. It worked right out of the box. Just plug it in and configure the router with some basic...
I'm looking for a cheap 440lx mobo for the celeron 366ppga. Can someone recommend a board that's less than $50 with a link to where I can purchase it? Thanks!
I'm planning to get a KVM switch so I can use a second computer to run some programs 24/7 so I can still use my main cpu to play games and stuff. I have an extra Celeron 366PPGA w/Globalwin fan, 64megs of pc100 ram, a generic video card, and a spare harddrive. The parts I need are a...
that's exactly right. Burnproof = Buffer-UndeRuN proof. If you have a burnproof drive and are using a software that supports the technology...you will not make coasters due to buffer underruns.
Yea it said on the website when I flashed my 12/10/32 directly from 1.00 to 1.04 that the latest firmware includes all the fixes from earlier firmware. No need to download them all.
Hi All,
I was just browsing plextor's home page and noticed that they have a firmware page with upgrades for all their drives. I know there're lots of you who own plextor drives..I got the 12/10/32 about two months ago but had no idea that the firmware is already at 1.04 instead of my 1.00...
What about starting Group Buys? There are so many of us hungry for more hardware on this forum we might be able to get a lot of great deals if we buy in massive quantities. I'd trust anand much more than any single user on the forum to handle a group buy deal.
Check out Googlegear
I bought two P3 700 cB0s from there for about $200 each shipped Fed-ex two day. Both of them overclock over 933. Mine is at 980 right now. Retail versions of course.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I just ordered the Netgear FA310TX for $17.95 from Onvia. I know the Linksys one is only $9 after rebate but the netgear card just looks more impressive from hardware point-of-view. Thanks!
Which card would you guys prefer?
3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI NIC for Complete PC Management (3C905C-TX-M) - $39.50
or
Intel PRO/100+ Management PCI w/WOL (PILA8460B) - $35.75
The price really isn't an issue as both are about the same. Which one's better in terms of overall performance and...
I have a home network with 5 computers with pacbell dsl. We have a netgear router and a linksys 5 port switch. I have a generic pci network card that only supports 10mbit half duplex. I'd like to get a 10/100 NIC card that's cheap and performs well. Any suggestions and/or links? Thanks!
Do what xtreme2k said. Go to GameCopyWorld and follow the link to Diablo 2 page. It will show you how to play the game w/o using your original play cd :D
Glad to be of service. My g/f is addicted to the game so I had to get it working somehow. A lot of people are having the same problem too. I'm sure another patch is due for the game sometime. Until then...better having some sound than no sound at all. Enjoy.
I'm not sure if you want to try this but it worked for me. The game kept closing back out to desktop whenever it got the the neighborhood screen. I realized it crashed whenever it tried to play music in the game. I modified a file called simsound.HIT which is in the SoundData folder in the...
Has anyone else purchased the card? Sounds like a great deal, especially if the rebate is an instant-rebate. Is this only for certain Bestbuys or all of them?
The REV2 can run over 150mhz at 2-2-2 if your other peripherals can handle the speed. The 150hsdram is only guaranteed at 150@2-3-2 and probably can't overclock much higher than that.
