Just back from checking out clearance at BestBuy and they had the LG Securedisc Internal Super-Multi for $11.99 at my local store (which isn't generally known for having cheap clearance items)

20X Securdisk Internal Super-Multi
A quick search of BB site only turns...
Spartan, thanks, your right.
Must have been early morning grogginess, I could swear I saw black heatspreaders and 'TRACER' either in the ad or on Frys.com, but a quick revisit to both proved me wrong.
I got in on the buy.com deal earlier in the month, but I just noticed Fry's has a similar (cheaper) deal now thru Tues (while supplies last)
Crucial / 2GB kit (1GBx2) / Ballistix 240-pin DIMM/ DDR2 PC2-6400 memory module / BL2KIT12864AA804
Bay area instore ... $84.99 - $40.00 rebate =...
I hopped in on this one while heading over to check out the HP LCD earlier this week. Free 3 bus days shipping too (that's what finally sold me)
I wasn't willing to gamble on the wording in the rebate offer so the second module is waiting (either for a new rebate program or a decent price drop)
From the 6/1 Fry's ad (and the same price on frys.com)
Thought this might be a price mistake but was able to purchase in-store at this price.

SANS Digital MS2UT External RAID Subsystem - Retail
Normally $199.99 on sale at $139.99
Normal price is around $250...
Hmm, the conversion kits for the 2,3 and 4 cell Mags were also marked down to $15.03 and there was a sign saying that the 4 D cell Mag 3watt LED was 27.98 (or somewhere around there) but stock had been cleared out.
I had someone check another store for me and had them pick up one of the 4 D...

You should see them shortly or get a pm from me...
OK, just refreshed gMail and they gave me six more - gotta share the love. Since I'm still waiting on the last person I sent out a PM to out of the last batch, I'm gonna turn the tables and do what other folks are doing, ... first six pm's including valid e-mail address get them.
Not that great without the controller, with the included inbox Maxtor ATA133/SATA controller (usually $49.95 retail) it's a decent deal, especially for a single drive solution. I opted for this last time they had this on sale because it was only $30 rebate (instead of the Hitachi 160/180/200...
ReplayLyndon posted on AVSForums that he's looking into it right now but there seems to be a problem with the websites reported status. If you haven't gotten a e-mail that says it's cancelled, I'd just wait until they get the situation sorted out.
Mine showed up in the mail yesterday, I ordered early on but got the component shortage e-mail and that it would be around the 20th that they would have the required components in house (19th I think but I'm too lazy to look up the e-mail).
Yeah, that thick wallet site has a friends and family link for 15% off, if it's good on the refurbs... people have posted that it let them place the order at the discounted rate.
I was able to get the main page again about 10 minutes ago, but couldn't follow any links without losing the site.
Well, their web store doesn't refer to it as SOLD OUT as the other ReplayTV boxes they've had on clearance, but the e-mail confirmation lists it as (Backordered). Last time this happened (albeit Staples and the backordered status happened when they could no longer locate the instock clearance...
Maybe the fact that in certain regions, the cost of soda is outlandish when not on sale. For instance, in the Bay Area you can walk into most grocery stores and it will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $4.49 for a 12-pack and $2.49 for a six-pack (when not on sale). Anything around $3.00...
Ordered one of these last week, they finally showed up on Wednesday for Will Call (of course, I didn't get the 11.99 price...). PC health monitor reflects the 3.3V rail being a little low (~3.18V), everything else appears nominal.
Just got home to the package and it's not the Toshiba, it's the Hitachi DK23EB-40 (as others have stated).
Item number from the shipping slip is 0P588. :frown:
Was just in to look for the 2wire units and local store had Maxtor 40Gb ATA 100 retail boxes clearanced at $39.90. Thought the guy in front of me snagged the last 2 but there were a couple left in the glass clearance case off to the side.
Heads up to those looking for cheap drives, the clerk...
Been lurking a long time, so I figure I should contribute (given that I was one that got in on a new SGI1600SW way back when...)
DVD-R/Ram
They only have one internal listed, it's Que Que IDE DVD-R/RW
also, the qps rebates link QPS Rebates shows both internal and external as a $50 rebate...
