After looking at the specs on each, I would have to go with the HP 315 225-60GC-50MIR for the price you mentioned. Good deal.

Camera lens damaged by infrared light?

Is a camera lens damaged by infrared light? An odd question to be sure, but I was using a webcam to talk to a friend and flashed the optical mouse light at him in an attempt to temporarily blind him.. for fun. It seems that the broadcast is now very pixellated and im not sure if that was the cause.

Brand new to music downloading..please help

Be careful to use Audiogalaxy, it incorporates spyware. If you download the shareware AdAware, you can get rid of the spyware component however, and continue to use audiogalaxy.

Power DVD does not play well for me

I have also had problems with running PowerDVD, but from the audio end. I get a variable hissing sound that is quite annoying. WinDVD is the best that i've used.

new cpu for abit kt7????

Well if price is a concern, you can get a Tbird 1.1 200 FSB for about 85 bucks from Pricewatch.com. As far as ram for your kt7, the mobo itself supports pc133, which is very cheap. I saw an ad for 1 gig for $70 on pricewatch.

hard drive?

You can use either plug on your IDE cable, I normally plug the far end into HD and the other into my primary slave (CDROM in my case). Do whichever is the most convenient depending on the location of each.

I uninstalled win ME and put 98SE back onto one of my systems. Everything worked fine, i loaded all the drivers, etc. However, for some reason windows is detecting hardware that I don't even have installed on my computer. Some kind of infrared something or other. Any suggestions?

There are bunch of different kinds of cases.. Some have 2 sides that can both be detached, or a single piece that slides backwards revealing the inside. Either way, you might need to first take off the faceplate. Check at the bottom of the faceplate for a latch of somesort, or any screws that...

I have a dell inspiron 4000 that came with several oem programs that can only be installed on dell machines. Since i have reformatted the dell, and the software is still able to be installed on it, does the software use a bios signature for authentification?
