Here's my problem.. I've got the Panasonic LF-D311 (shows up as Matsushita LF-D310) drive and when I try to burn/author a DVD-R disc with close-to-full amount of data, it always craps out at the very end when trying to close a disc. I've tried using Nero, EZCD, Prassi PrimoDVD, with same...
finally got a chance to put my system together. so here are the details and how it went.
Asus P4B266-C
1.6a (malay chip - for those who care)
256 MB of PC2100 Samsung DDR Ram
(all three were purchased from googlegear - those bastards ship fast! :))
Visiontek GF3 Ti200
Tekram Scsi card
Hercules...
i WAS going to settle for a radeon 8500 since compusa/bestbuy has some pretty decent prices on them after rebate... but now.. i'm leaning more towards the gf4 ti4600.. just go all out... and declare bankruptcy at the same time. :)
I've got a Hercules 3d Prophet 4500 64MB, which is a fully agp2.0 compliant 1.5v card... but the AGP warning light comes on and won't let me power on the system.. any ideas anybody?

Yay! Just got my stuff in. Ordered from googlegear a few days ago - they sent a Malaysian chip, pack date of 1/16/2002 - Batch L151A284. Can't wait to get home and try the sucker out. I'll let you guys know. :)
so here's what i ordered..
1.6a chip
P4B266-C board
Samsung PC2100 256 meg chip
anything i need to keep in mind to get to 2400 (150X16) successfully? like something about taking the thermopad off?.. and the turbo 1 setting.. i was skimming through all the postings..
So after reading threads upon threads of 1.6a oc'ing... i've succumbed to the evil powers and forfeited my credit card number to master googlegear.
you guys suck. =P
