/me takes a bow (for asking)
thanks AntecCSR - our single-track minds can now fixate on the SonataII/P180 and spend waking nights wishing we could slingshot around the moon and arrive 6 weeks in the future.
AntecCSR,
As I'm sure you are well aware, many of us have been waiting eagerly for the new Sonata II.
Some have even given up hopes and gone with the Sonata (v1).
I have been eagerly waiting for months as well, delaying several PC projects. I know you said that TruePower 2.0 was of...

I agree that the best-buy website blows. It's terrible. However, it has problems in IE6.0 as well.
Still using opera, perhaps it's time to upgrade your 486dx

If you call they will re-instate your order. They cancelled a *ton* of those fathers day weekend orders, and they are allowed to re-instate at the same order price etc...
just call up a rep.
yeah that's true.
There's no point in canceling the order.
If it comes before 7/7, great.
If it arrives on 7/8, deny it / mark return to sender and get a 100% refund (shipping was free)
yes, it is clear that they did not have adequate stock to fill all of the orders.
However, their "availability" did not reflect the situation correctly, and nor is it much to ask that they (if they are genunie in their notification of shipment on or by 6/27), use some shipping method that would...
step up production as in, "order production", which is the term dell uses for its order processing.
" but how can you expect them to fufill thousands of orders in the matter of a week. "
-- Because I pay them to, and so do thousands of people. ;roll;
also FYI, dell regularly fulfills...

bad dealings with staples. I'm all for officedepot + max from now on. staples is too anal/annoying
from all I hear that a05 drive is *really* crappy. read the threads on the firmware forums linked earlier.
cant write on cheaper media, less compatability
Went to my OfficeMax today, pulled a tag for the 2x drive (advertised at $269.98)
went to the desk and they handed me a 4x drive, charged me (like 291 with tax).

My wife went to med school in Rochester. I flew in an out of Rochester for 2 years. I am so...
Yeah, Rochester isn't so bad. There are plenty of girls at U of R -- a few girls at RIT too...
only problem is that most of the girls tend to shy away from RIT guys with majors like Animation, CompSci etc..

doesnt seem to be 10% in dellHOME
via dellSB, no 15% on this LCD, but they do give you:
You saved $30 off your software and peripherals purchase with your $200 minimum purchase in the Small Business division. -$30.00
I agree. I've received emails from dell becuase of a typo in the CC info, and they look nothing like that
they always start out with thanking you, and saying that there was ap roblem in auth and asking you to call to verify
regarldess of it being semi-legitimate from dell perhaps
the dellcustomerservice website does not exist, and isnt reg'ed by dell
and of all companies i'd expect dell to not have their CS's ask via e-mail for CC info, COMPLETE CC info
So I still believe it is some scam/fraud.
I placed a dell.com order for a laptop about 36 hours ago, and this afternoon I received the following e-mail (marked as High Priority):

Received: from AUSADMMSRR503.aus.amer.dell.com ([143.166.83.90] verified)
