You guys make it sound so complicated. A salvage title means it costs more money to fix the car than it's worth. It's as simple as that. The insurance company can pay $4001 to have the car fixed or they can pay you $4000 which is the price of the car itself. Obviously, they choose the latter and...
Cannot be compared to TiVo. Different functions. Slingbox is connected to your satellite, cable or antenna to provide tv to the internet. You can watch it on your laptop through a broadband connection or through smartphones. Not for ipods. Iphones probably work though.
I'm waiting for FF also. The price might drop when FF comes out but I went ahead with this deal anyway. Sony got me good. I don't want these new 80 gb PS3's with lesser support for PS2 games. Since the 60 gb models aren't being made anymore, I will have to buy now.
as far as I know sxga just means max res. at 1280x1024 while xga means max res. at 1024x768. So sxga on a 14.1 inch screen is pretty much useless unless your eyes are as good as Superman's
I still have an old AT&T plan and they don't charge for incoming texts. I don't understand why something hasn't been done about this. You can choose not to pick up a phone call, but you can't stop a text message. People shouldn't be charged for this. At the very least, they should allow you to...
Out of Stock already. MY GOSH. Why are there so many rich stupid people out there? If you're going to spend that much on a 360, you get the premium!!!!
I am missing something here. This thing is just like a solar powered flashlight. You charge your batteries through your computer which is plugged to the wall. Why not get a charger that plugs directly into the wall? And you wouldn't want to plug this thing into your laptop at a coffee shop...
I just picked up this card at Fry's and it isn't half bad. I have an old 1.0 Ghz P3 Dell Inspiron 8100. So the included PVR Plus program runs very slowly. I use ChrisTV instead. Maximum resolution is 768x576. Unfortunately, I have some odd horizontal lines running across the screen. It isn't the...
Someone who has actually bought this combo should post a reply on this CPU. According to specs this CPU is not 64-bit and C'n'Q is only enabled on semprons 3100+ and faster. So what gives with the ad? Either way it's a hot deal. But I don't want to be mislead by Fry's labels.
Maybe I was drunk, but I had it working fine with my tbred 1700+ w/ a geforce 5600 ultra. So I don't know about the dx9 issue or whatever. I never did check fps or anything, but it seemed fluid to me. I still returned it though because I was only able to get 3 channels in my area reliably.
No, that won't work, you need the one with the UPC number on it. the little sticker on the bottom side of the box, says WDC Serial Number. Anyway, anyone have the 2 rebate forms they can scan and post here or send me? Stupid me forgot to ask the register lady for them and I don't want to drive...
Here's a trick I tried and has been working so far. This is for those who don't have an XP SP1 bootdisk but still want a single partition on their drive. Add the new drive to your existing system and partition it for the full space. You have to have the SP1 patch installed in order to do this...
BEWARE guys. I had these on my Integra for about 6 months before they blew out. Sure, they were the brightest and nicest looking headlights I've ever had in my car, but come on. Blew out already. I went back to the OEM bulbs which has been going strong since I bought the car, 6 years ago.
I think Fry's started closing at 10PM for the holiday hours. Anyway, picked one up yesterday and it was sweet. Just wish I could oc this TBred. But budget has me using stock HS/Fan. Amazingly, it's the same size HS as the stock 900 I'm replacing it with. Pretty sad. Anyway, have to reinstall...
Actually the Mercury News has come back down to a quarter and sundays back to an even dollar. Anyway, there have been two sites that featured Bay Area Fry's ads, they were both taken down within a couple of months. No idea how the LA Frys ad sites stay up. Problem with getting the paper isn't...
I went to a Chinese restuarant a few years ago with my friends in San Francisco. And you know how it is when you are a bunch of kids. We got the most awful service. They would not refill our ice water. Did not get us some steamed rice. And little things we asked for, like extra plates...
You don't use it just for the internet connection. You also want to do some file sharing once in awhile. And when you're doing that, even the standard 100 mbits isn't fast enough.
Yeah, I second that on the skipping thing. Worse yet after a few months the cd isn't even worth listening to. Here's the thing though, I will continue to buy them no matter what. @7 bucks for 50 you just can't beat it. The quality is slightly substandard but good enough for me. How many of us...
Here's a third opinion. No to your question. If the cable is bad it just won't work so won't cause errors. So in that regards if the cable is loose or bent in a way then your computer will freeze when it loses connection to the drive. That way you could lose data. But program errors? Nah.
The review seems extremely old. Can that laptop really be sold at that price these days? It's way outclassed. We have 133 fsb chipsets now. 512k cache cpus. 802.11b wireless networks. It doesn't seem like a super slim notebook, so I see no reason for it to be only 900 Mhz. Seems like a very...
I'm thinking the video card in that board is related to the 830M from the mobile P3 chipset. Yes the graphics core is much improved over 815. It can access up to 48 meg of system memory. It can even have a 400 mhz direct access bus to its own memory (RDRAM???). But to this date no laptop...
The video card that comes with it is the improved 830m version. Goes from 8 MB - 48 MB depending on system memory since it is still a UMA. If you have 256 meg RAM you can utilize it all. It is an improved version over the 815 chipsets. That being said, it still sucks. Quite nasty. Also I think...
Yeah it depends on your board. If it doesn't support a cumine, the best you'll be able to do is 600 mhz. And you have to make sur eyou get the correct 600 mhz processor. 600e is cumine. 600b is 133 fsb. 600eb is cumine 133. plain old 600 is the one you want if you can't do cumine.
My sister has a Dell 8100 and it's absolutely gorgeous with UXGA screen. The only problem I have with it is case design. Compared to other manufacturers Dell cases are really flimsy and creaks. The keyboard is also subpar. She doesn't have a problem with the keys touching the screen yet but...
You can do what I did for my friend. It's a bit drastic but better than a dead system. We put in an old 17 GB drive as the main boot drive and used the 75 GXP as a storage. Like others, when the GXP does fail, you're usually able to pull data off of it. If you can't afford or do not have a spare...
If you were to plug this thing to a laptop and a laptop plugged into a tv? Could you use the remote to control the DVD functions? Would be awesome to have a DVD player.
Man, I just ordered my Gateway Solo 9550... oh well. I chose it mainly on it's biggest when I ordered 15.7" size. Now the sony blows it away and adds UXGA also. Too bad it comes with the Radeon 7500 rather than the Geforce4Go. I don't have any quibs with ATI but for some reason the fine folks at...
