Interesting IE 5.5 Problem

Yep, and reinstalled all the network protocols etc, and uninstalled communications support, then reinstalled it. Seems I have just about done everything bar a full reinstall. Hope some one can come up with something. Thanks so far, SlugwormX.

CD-RW stops working with new system.

Hi, Are you burning from cd to cd, or are you using a hard drive Image file? If its cd to cd then you may be getting buffer underuns due to a slow transfer rate from the origonal cd, ie due to scratches etc. A few other things, with your new system, did you install the latest motherboard...

Thanks for the reply, Have reinstalled 5.5 again to no effect, will installing 5.0 have any effect? With the number of other software that he has installed that access the web, Im not really surprised that something like this has happened! Any further info would be greatly appreciated. SlugwormX

Interesting IE 5.5 Problem

Hi all, My mate has a good problem with his computer. When accessing the web, his computer will access secure sites, but not regular web sites! Anyone heard of this???? Tried just about everything to cure this, bar a windows reinstall, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, SlugwormX...
