MCSA/MCSE cert test from MS

The Best Thing to have is hands on, real world experiance. The cert's get you in the door and so will the degree, but most IT departments will give you a little test when you get in the door to test how much you really know.... the best thing would be to get a PC tech/help desk job and start...

WinXP problem

if your using a fat32 partition you can boot from a 98 boot disk or a dos boot disk, if you have NTFS as your file system you are going to need to: Right Click on "my computer" go to properties go to the Hardware Tab there should be a Driver Signing Button Click on it and you will get a Driver...

How do I "Image" XP? (Ghost)... It's not working like it used to.

Hmm, I use ghost 7 and have had no problems imaging XP, even with an NTFS partition(which is where I thought the problems would occur), Have done it to three machines, using one machine as the Image machine, creating all images from one........ did you completely start the "image" machine up...

Try replacing these two files url.dll oleaut32.dll they are located in the C:\windows\system Directory, if they are not located in that directory, do a search for them and replace them with known working ones, If you do a search on google you should be able to find them. If not let me know...

Save me from myself - win xp on new hdd question

You could also ghost the drive over if you have that option, that way you don't have to mess around with the two OS's.

Bios and Device manager can see slave drive but not windows explorer?

Try Disk Management, rescan the drive, if it is a dynamic disk you will have to import the disk. after you do that it will show up as Healthy, or should anyway baring any physical problems with the disk

You could try making the 6 boot disks and starting the installation from there, I had a similar problem, went that route and the installation went smoothly. also if nothing else, do an install of 98 onto the machine, then do an upgrade, that is another way i got around the locking up issue.

windows xp help PLEASE!

have you tried setting your background to none and seeing what happens? to get to the display settings. Get to task manager- new task - explorer- browse to "My Computer"- Control panel-display can't hurt to check

but is the dialer still on your system? if it is, it might still be causing problems, go into Add/remove programs and see if it has an uninstall package,

You could uninstall their dialer....... or disable it(which probably won't work, but never hurts to try)..... since that is the point where your problems first started happening.... other then that quik fix i would have to test it out....
