Hey guys,
I'm using Ghost 7.5 and am trying to dump an image with an Intel 865PERL which has an Intel Pro 100VE integrated NIC. The problem is when I created the Ghost boot disk and booted up the computer it seems to think theres no NIC. It appears to be searching for a PCI NIC and doesn't see...
Hey peeps - anyone have any info on rolling out winxp on a large scale? say about 100 identical computers. there may be issues with the serial key activation number if i'm not mistaken. i would install all the stuff i wanted on one of the PCs and then image it on the others. just wanted to know...
try putting in a stick of DDR266 (temporarily) and go into the bios and change the settings and load setup defaults. then shut down and stick in your DDR333 and go into bios and change settings to suit you. hope this helps.
i know what the problem is with bad bios flashes. try taking out the ddr400 and putting in ddr266 just temporarily. it should boot up. go into the bios and setup defaults and shut down and then install the ddr400. you should be ok. hope this helps.
btw this board rox! :D
that's cool! i usually get my basic components from them, i.e. hard drives, mobos, cpus. memory from mushkin of course and tweak stuff from frozencpu and coolerguys.
i know... too much information, but i just felt like typing i guess :D
honestly i'm a little scared to try it. it doesn't come with any instructions. like with the 875 bios updates it warns you not to flash from a floppy for some reason. i might just wait till may 20th when MSI updates their website for the official release of the springdale chipset. :brokenheart:
for the most part i think the problems have been with 533fsb and there have been 2 new bois releases, the most current being the 1.2 bios so i think that might be fixed already. i am getting this board. 'nuff said.
so lets say i was putting together a gaming rig. i'd prolly be better off going with the i865 since i don't need ECC memory. i'm not sure what PAT does though.
true, true. i fell into the via trap... yet again anyway, i was thinking about getting a P4PE but i read how ppl were not happy with the onboard features. i'm pretty much disenchanted with buying anything right now.
i have a:
Soltek p4x400 with 512mb Mushkin pc-2700 CAS 2
and i also have my trusty
Asus P4T-E with 1gb Mushkin pc-800
and let me just say that the P4T-E is by far the fastest and smoothest in anything/everything i run. it just makes no sense how a chipset and memory setup that doesn't utilize...
anyone know what the highest speed P4 i can stick in this baby is? i'm not going to be getting a 3.0GHz or anything but i'd prolly like to get like a 2.66 or even MAYBE a 2.8 in there if funds allow.
also, i love this board but is it obsolete? i have 1gig of mushkin pc-800 and it has no...
uhhhhh yeah... i am in the IT dept. and i'm in charge of getting the patches/updates we need. thing is they closed down the firewall so that the windows update won't work. i have to get all the patches/updates and compile them in a central location for distribution.
Is there a way to get windows critical/recommended updates on a disc instead of thru the internet? who do i need to contact and how? my works firewall has closed all ports and we can no longer get windows updates via internet anymore. HELP!
