Finally, the Laptop Gaming Thread

If you plan on playing alot of games, I'd go with the XGA since SXGA is sorta non standard in most games and you'd be forced to run at a non native resolution and it'll be blurry

Sony S51 and Samsung 151V

I have the Sony S51. Owned it for over a year now and havent had any problems with it. I'm a gaming person and when I first transitioned over from a 21" Viewsonic CRT, it was sorta weird, but after a couple days of use, the LCD grew on me. I don't notice any ghosting in CS or any other games...

just an update, I bought my Sony S51/B last month from Dell.com and sent the rebate in, I just remembered and checked my status and the rebate has been APPROVED, so it appears that Dell.com is an authorized Sony retailer. My final cost was around $300 after rebate, not too bad for a monitor...

have you guys taken a look at the Sony S51? it ends up being the same price after discounts/rebates. It has a better response time and is a little brighter but it uses analog input only and has no speakers. I think tom's hardware did a review on it and said it sucked but I personally own one...
