What tools to cut side of case?

I use a Hole Saw for fan holes...there the easiest, fastest, and most accurate way I know of...I can drill 3 120mm fan holes in about 7 mins or less

OC 1.2GHz Tbird by multiplier only. How high can I go?

Ive seen people running with 1.9 vcore...but make sure you have good cooling...if your not sure about the MAXIMUM SAFE VCORE..then look to AMD's website..they have everthing about there CPU's there..from Thermal Specs to Voltage...and more If it wont post at 11.5 (neither will my 1ghz Duron..)...

Cutting into a Lian-Li

Thats a nice case to be drilling on...IMHO I would use a HOLE SAW before a dremel on that case...it will be easier and faster (especially if you dont have lots of experience with a dremel)...Good luck with the mod, and give us a link to some pics when you finish) (my web server is currently...

Cathode Heat Issues

ok...A COLD Cathode will not put off enough heat to make a difference..thats why there so popular...and as far as cutting HOLES....a dremel works..but a hole saw works great! I have 3 120mm fans as intakes that i modded into my case...if you want to see clean holes..use the hole saw...check out...

Need help QUICKLY-XP1400 cooling fan-4 corner mount????

doesnt matter what speed it runs at.....what matters if the HSF will fit his board...Depending on the Mobo Manufacture, the ALPHA PAL8045 may or may not fit. Most of your high end Coolers that use the 4 hole mounting are a pretty big size. Make sure there are no Capacitors, or other components...

Installing a Northbridge Fan

Removing the pins is actually quite easily done. Just use caution while removing them. I use a pair of small Needle Nose Pliers to remove the pins, obviously it must be done from the back side of the board...I just move slowly when im that close to the Mobo, and squeeze the pin housing...and...

Thermaltake Volcano 7

I just got back from the store and brought home a Volcano 7+ for testing purposes....Im currently running a Volcano 6cu+ and running a temp of 35c full load(using SETI)...Im going to replace the 6cu+ with the 7+ and see what the temp differences are...I wish I had a regular V7 sitting here...no...

Rounding cables.

THe Chrome Wire loom sounds super nice!, for the finished look, you picked the best way to do it..Shrink Wrap...There are different types as far as how far they shrink down...some will shrink a huge amount..so you can buy the bigger size and slip it over the molex connectors, and then shrink...

Thermaltake Volcano 7

The Volcano 7 is ok , but I suggest you look at the Volcao 7+. It has no thermistor, instead it has a 3 posistion switch, that allows you to controle the fan speed (3 speeds), It is also a Solid Copper thin fin Hs, instead of the Copper Insert that the volcano 7 uses...

HELP: cpu temperature monitoring program

MBM5 does not install any other software but itself...I have been using MBM for quite a while...I have it on all my PC's and never once has it installed somthing like gator. Its easy to configure, and does a nice job...

antec cases are REALLY noisy.....

I have the 1040b case..I have all 4 of the 80mm's as exaust fans...and 3 120mm intakes on the door...for filtering, I bought some cheap "window air-conditioner replaceable filter" from the local Lowes Home improvement store. Its washable and does a pretty darn good job filtering dust out of the...

air does not cut it so water?

you can also have air cooling thats not to loud...I run my XP1700+ at 1.65Ghz with a Vcore of 1.85..under full load (using Folding@Home) my temps are currently 32c..and my HSF is not a great one either..its a ThermalTake Volcano 6cu+ with Artic Silver 3...I also have 3 120mm fans on the case...

Anyone know what this is?

Braided sleeves and Wireloom are both good products to use for what I like to refer "Wire Management"..and yep, heat shrink tubing is a great way to secure the ends of the loom or sleeve...you can also use elec. tape if you dont have any money for the HST.

I have read on other forums that some people used extra mouse pads, cork, and one guy even bought a few rubber door mats and cut those to fit in the case...what ever you find to use..post its results

Window kits for Antec SX10xx cases?

<< Well, I was gonna put a window on my case but I can't get the wires cleaned up. I try to move them out of the way but they don't stay. Sure you can say get some of this material and move the wire away, but my PSu has ALOT of wires hanging around...a little bit or a sleeve on the wire won't...
