well... it's up to you to find out when you get it unstable because of to low voltage... it all depends from board to board.. and from cpu to cpu... just test your way on yo!
the kr7a-raid mobo doesn't support 2000+ amd xp's when you get it.. u have to flash bios first to get it to support that kinda cpu....
as i said... i did build 1 system with 2000+ and kr7a.... so i know ;)
if you don't know how to clear bios...
maybe i can help you...
check on your mobo...
i got 2x256MB SDRam broken with O/C... and i only tried 140mhz fsb that time... well... i got em changed and back i got 1 high quality stick (M.tec) it can do 150MHz FSB at the most aggressive timings so i'm happy... and i don't know if it can go higher.. cos my mobo don't like any stick over...
i would advice you to get an asus board... those are the most stable as far as i know... (and what i've tested) and what i've been reading..
so go for asus if you want stability yo!
update your bios to the latest... if you haven't...
then it will work just fine...
i just built up a system containing a kr7a-raid and xp 2000+... .and it refused to work correctly before the bios update...
hope it works yo!
btw... i tested it now.. and i'm running @ cas2-3-2... 150MHz FSB... and multiplier @ 10... so i got the cpu @ 1500MHz... and it works just fine when i upped the I/O voltage.. thanks alot for the help! :)
anyone have any good experience about the kt7a mobo?
or someone who knows how to set the...
thought of that too... but my case temp is at 23C (room temp) got 6x80mm fans in my case.. but i suppose it doesnt cool the northbridge very well... cos it has the original flens + fan...
i'll try to up it to 3.6V later on...but now i need some sleep haven't slept since yesterday... :(...
well... it's simple...
don't care about what dos say... cos dos isn't made for big hdds... so it will count over from 0 again after 65536MB... and voila dos says it's 10812MB (65536+10812mb = 76348MB = 80GB)... and 76348-65536=10812MB etc... you getit?
as far as i read... you haven't said that...
so.. i got the KT7A-raid mobo... revision 1.1...
works stable at 150MHz fsb @ cas2 (M.tech AMD OK pc133)... the first 30mins in windows... then it starts to lag every ~10secs.. it stops for like some ms... and it's very annoying. .. and i don't know if it's the board that can't handle the 150mhz...
Buz2b:yo!
well... if he hasn't messed around with the jumpers since he got the harddrive... then he doesn't need to change the jumper cos it's at max limit for the HDD (afaik).. but if i'm wrong at that point... (but i don't think so) he has to do as you say yes...
over and out yo! ;)
yo!
it seems to me like you haven't tryed to use the disk in windows...
cos in bios it will say it's only 10GB...
cos there is a "classic" bugg... after 65536 or something (that number...) anyway... it count's in MB in dos.. so it will say it's only 10xxxMB cos it calculates from 0 again and up...
