My local Bob's Big Boy (Alhambra, CA) was bought over by some Asian... now it's some noodle house. It's kinda funny because they kept that infamous Big Boy statue outside for YEARS until they took it down.
They screwed up on my last order. Sent me the wrong item TWICE! I want a refund on the item ($6.99 fan) but they want me to ship back the incorrect item. WTH.

I tried the "7 volt trick" but I ended up litterally frying a wire that was connected to my cold cathode. There was smoke and everything. The protective plastic on the red wire melted. Nothing else was harmed... thank god.
I think the "7 volt trick" works... but for me it didn't work well...
At UCR (University of California, Riverside) if you are a Computer Science major... you can go to the Systems office and ask for a Windows Home/Pro XP licence (key) which is good for 10 computers, for free.
When the store in The City of Industry opened some people waited at least 30-45 min just for parking to get into the store for long OOS deals. :)
Good thing I only swung by there... didn't want to waste all that time looking for parking and such.
I have some cheap Sony one's (MDR-CD180) that I got for about $20 at BestBuy. They have lasted me about 2 years now. They are starting to show their age.. but they are still strong.

I just got my rebate check for $70 from Western Digital (bought 160GB HDD from Circuit City) and sent it out around 11/14/03.

At my college dorm the police can search your room at anytime... but the RAs don't have the same power.
I agree with the police charging the person with theft because a lot more pranks will be done if "no one cared" and there were no consquences.
