Win7 update ruined my Local Area connection?

Theres a curtain update that redoes windows update to auto remove it if you had it for windows 7. Security center and programs and features would point you to skip it. If its not the driver it maybe ip stack, just rebuild it.

Never-mind bridging if you got tv service too. just use as you say, asus as a AP. bridging it may kill your tv service.

AT&T does only 2 techs. Fiber and various versions of DSL. Sounds like you got fiber as the modem has a coax. Thats for broadcast tv which can go threw the fiber then to coax. I dont think they use it for any kind of cable tech like DOCSIS. The Coax is for broadcast tv if you had the service...

HELP me choosing Memory for NOCTUA NH-D15 PLEASE!

I have the NH-D14 which is similar in design. Due to the metal brackets mounting to the front of Heat sink you can mount the fan higher if need. Just slides up a little. The fan sits higher but makes for better RAM clearance. Here is a example with NH-D15:

Cheapest stable dual band router?

The USB devices I recommend is $25 each now. I have one TP-Link USB adapter for an older PC and have no latency issues at all playing retro games on the network. Be sure to use the extension cord that come with it to get away from pc as interference is bad for both pcie and USB.

MSI X99A SLI Plus - Very odd mobo malfunction

That's a 16:10 ratio. look for 16:10 when looking. It also may be what you're used to even at higher res.

sounds like software. Make sure latest drivers is installed and briefly use Geforce Experience to optimize it to reset it. I dont use GE except when a game needs reset, I keep it uninstalled but once a year when i use it

unable to access another PC in same domain

"Net Use" is in command prompt in windows. ON pc 2 try setting correct login and restart both at same time. Sometimes file sharing acts up when you change user login too many times and it takes a restart to fix.

PC Suddenly turnoff and start again

Right-click This PC, select properties. In properties hit advanced system settings. ON advanced tab select settings for startup and recovery. On sys failure uncheck auto restart. The next time it restarts it might give you a clue with a BSOD.

Terrible network speeds on SMB data transfer to Ubuntu server

While that router may have excellent range, that tablet/phone dont. It uses very low power for good battery life. The only suggestion is run a AP to the room where you use it.

Get a XBox One to forget a Wireless network.

Does anyone know a way to get XB1 to forget a wireless network without a restore to factory? I have a Cisco AP and had to rebuild it due to a tablet not work on it. Now tablet works but XB1 won't connect because It won't forget its MAC addy etc.
