Who uses 1280x1024?

If the big concern is greater vertical resolution, then take a 4:3 screen and turn it 90 degrees, for a 3:4 screen - which beats 4:3, 5:4, and 4:5! At least then, you can turn it back to 4:3 if you need to use standard resolutions. Say, to watch TV. You do realize that 5:4 wastes more screen...

Who uses 1280x1024?

Video capture on MSI and Gainward GF4's

I can't find squat on the video capture quality, resolution, or compression on the MSI and Gainward GeForce4's. Not in reviews, and not even on the manufacturer's web sites! Could people who have these card please comment? Thanks.

Big problems with ATI Radeon card.....please help

You suggest that this is an OpenGL problem, yet you say Q3 and RTCW are fine... Does it happen in particular areas of those games, or randomly? I have all of those games except MoH, and they all run fine on my Radeon.

Who uses 1280x1024?

[Argh! That simultaneous login & reply bit is annoying!] IMO, proper aspect matters more than size. I'm also troubled by the lack of good resolutions between 1024x768 and 1600x1200. I've had to use tweakers and registry hacks just to get 1152x864 on my Radeon!

Who uses 1280x1024?

I'm looking for people that run 1280x1024, to answer a question for me... Everywhere I go, I see this resolution. Wallpaper, benchmarks, specs, games...whatever. AFAIK, all computer monitors are 4:3, which is why we have resolutions like 640x480, 800x600, etc. However, 1280x1024 is 5:4. So...
